I'd assume your body's tired because it's been, for lack of a better word, traumatized. And it's recovering. If anything, I'd think eating might make you a little tireder, since your body has to deal with digesting. (Do eat though! Fuel for recovery, etc.) I think your plan of Listening to the Body is a sound one.

And yes, sleep your fucking ass off -- I slept a LOT, took my pain pills whenever I felt ouchy, and walked a little bit every day, and I recovered pretty fast. Because I let me bod heal. Good recovery to you!

Vortex, I got my thumb nicked by by a table saw blade and got lots of stitches and was very traumatized and slept for 24 hrs straight. I can't imagine being up and around as much as you have been after what you just went through. You are strong, Woman!
