Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
There's a zeppelin a few miles from where I work this week. I wish I had time to go ride it.
Helium, not Hydrogen, thank goodness.
Andi and I were talking about it and now I want to have SG-1 on the thing.

It appears we have sprung a leak.

You think?
Hee, I'm loving everyone offering their own advice on farting. We are awesome.
I totally passed gas just reading the conversation. /tipsy tmi
My friend/former coworker is here staying with me and going to a conference, and we went out for dinner and drinks with another friend/former coworker who is still at MFC. Man, the more we talk, the more bizarre/incompetent/sketchy shit comes to light. You can't make this stuff up, I swear. Like, the ED got a head injury while on a work trip with the COO (a convicted bank fraud felon, for those not playing along in Natter), and that's when he got so powerful, and we're more than half seriously speculating that he hit her on the head and is taking advantage of her brain damage. IDEK.
I'ma say it again. Best. Layoff. Ever.
Netflix upped their prices. Grrr. $1 more per month and 1less DVD at a time. Grrr.
Wow, Smonster, that's craxxy!
Why is it some days I have no trouble eating less than my diet-allotted calories, and other days I could (and um, do) eat twice the allotment? Seriously--in trying to eat 1400 calories a day (even though fitbit says I'm burning 2200) and last week on one say I ate 2800 calories. Today 1050 and I'm quite full going to sleep. Wtf? (ok yes today I ate lots more fruit and less processed stuff blah blah but I also wasn't hovering everything in sight!)
Fucktastic. I could use some ~ma Virginia-wards to my sister and her parents. Since mono has cancelled the OutwardBound/Intercept program thinks have spiralled out of control and escalated yet again and now Dad has decided that he is going to take the admitedly "drastic" step of excising her from his life. Banning her from his home, refusing to spend time with her...he somehow developed the notion that such a grand gesture would shock her into changing her outlook, improving her disposition, and stopping her lying and manipulation. He even claims that his Psych ladyfriend agrees with him...which seems like possibly a slight misinterpretation on his part. I'm not down with the idea of any Dad abandoning his already emotionally unstable daughter with the belief that it will somehow help. I've shared my thoughts with him, but he seems very commited to that course of action. *sigh*
Here is my flash of brilliance for the day: just get the hell out of an argument between someone who is transsexual and someone who is transgender, when the TS person is soapboxing about what "transgender people" really believe
Oh dear...
The Girl was losing the plot recently because some TG *and* TS people at Pride this year wanted drag queens banned. Apparently it's bad for their image. The Girl has a more inclusive view of gender than anyone I've ever met, and she was not amused.
Goodness, erin - that sounds complicated. Much ~ma in the direction of Virginia. And at least your family has *now* heard of the spoon theory.
Oh, erin. I'm so sorry, and am sending all kinds of loving~ma out to VA.
wanted drag queens banned
Heresy! Outrage! And just plain no fun!
More seriously, what - were they threatened by the performative nature of gender in drag? It confuses straight people, so let's legislate part of our own community to make it easier to understand? Do not comprehend.
Why is it some days I have no trouble eating less than my diet-allotted calories, and other days I could (and um, do) eat twice the allotment?
Most likely your body needs more food one day than the next. I think the biological process is more complex than calories in, calories out, though.
Glad you're having fun with your houseguest, smonster!
~ma to VA. And 50 lashes with a wet noodle for Dad.
Argh, erin. Your dad's plan sounds really, deeply unwise. How old is your sister? What options for, like,
life
does she have if he cuts her out altogether? And how doubly frustrating for you, to be seeing it all play out from so far away, and have your dad rebuff you when you raise your concerns. Much, much ~ma to all your family.
