[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It came to me last night, but then today when I dropped Em off at school, I stuck around and ended up chatting with her teachers. Turns out, they need an aide in the class and they want me!! So I've done the paperwork and I'm begging to get put into an already full enrollment class. Tomorrow I go get fingerprinted. Woohoo!! I'm going to (kind of) teach!!

Aims, way to scrounge up a pitcher, water, ice, and sugar to go with the lemons life handed you the other day!

Maybe they're just not very good liars.

Oh, I'm sure Jamie could totally rock the Arthur Deitrich method of befuddling lie detector tests - or at least turn it on its ear by being equally pissed off at every question.

ETA: Ok, I looked it up, and apparently on Mythbusters, they could not beat it.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Trust my rage

I have been fascinated with tattoos lately. Many of my clients have them and I enjoy looking at them. (Uh, the tattoos.) Anyway, I'm not a fan of the neck tattoo unless it's in the back. Which I personally think looks a bit gangster, but some people can carry it off.

I got started on my tattoo thing when we were in Hawaii and a friend told me she had read research that tattoos are a sign of anti-social behavior. (Not my opinion and I actually discussed this on DW/LJ.) Anyway, I've been thinking lately that I would like a tattoo, but I think Joe would freak out. Plus, I dont have a good idea of what I would want.

Trust my rage

And in non-tattoo news, Aimee, that is great! I think it's a great way to sort of ease yourself in and it pays!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

All I can think of when I see neck tats is OW OW OW OW OW OW OW.

There's a reason my tats are on soft fleshy body parts and not MY NECK.

[eta: I once told a doctor I didn't like people touching my neck - I think she was feeling my glands or something and had her thumbs kind of near my windpipe - and she immediately said "Oh, were you strangled once?" Which...is it just me or is that a wierd question? Is it unusual to not want people putting their hands around your neck?]

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think the only tattoo I'm likely to get at 68 is one that says DNR.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh it does - sub teaching pays $86.00/day. Sub aide-ing pays $77.00/day.

Aims, not trying to be a wet blanket, but are you eligible for unemployment? If so, is it more than you would make substitute teaching? If that is also so, you may want to see if you can volunteer your time. I'm just worried that you'll take one job because it pays okay, and then if more jobs don't come through, you won't be eligible for unemployment. And we know how the unemployment people like to fuck you. (originally, I was going to say fuck WITH you, but decided to leave it, as my subconscious had corrected me)

move out and draw fire

Uh, no, it's actually really smart, since that's a very vulnerable spot.

Mal sometimes tries to get my attention by putting his hands around my neck, and I always flinch, even though I know he's not going to choke me. And I've never been strangled.

I weren't already involved in languages that I'm at least intermediate in but badly need to push to fluency (Spanish, Swedish and Danish).

Why do you need fluency in Swedish/Danish, Spidra?

"Ass antlers" is the translation of the German word for "tramp stamp" - the lower back tribal tattoo. Which is a location I would totally consider for getting a tattoo if it weren't for the terms "ass antlers" and "tramp stamp."
