I know I've told this story before, but it bears repeating,. Every time we saw them, my MiL nagged my DH about his hair (too long), his weight and his smoking. One summer, he stopped smoking. lost 50lbs and got his hair cut. I told him, "Your mother won't have anything to say to you." He assured me that she would find something. Sure enough, we walked in the house and the very first thing she said to him was "Oh, no--your hair has gotten so gray!"
Heh. A friend of mine's mother was always on her to loose weight. Then she lost a bunch of weight. Then she was told she looked too thin. Insane, right? But we figured it out: Her mother was concerned about her
weight.
REGARDLESS of what it was, her mother was going to be concerned about it.
Not Teppy, but drugs can get to the bloodstream through the eye.
Thanks. As a side effect, fidgeting is pretty darn' tolerable compared to some I've had.
smonster, I'm glad St. Woot likes carrots (you deserve someone to be happy with).... Speaking of, how did he like the spicy carrot salad?
This is a house of WOE!!
Had a dream last night where I was starting a new office job and one of the evals was to rate my top 5 favorite fictional characters. Number 2 was Logan Echols. The rest were HP or Ya-Ya related. So this morning, I've decided it's time for the annual VM rewatch with my eye on Logan.
ONLY, WOE!! Netflix has taken VM off their streaming list!!
WOE WOE WOE.
Must resort to fanfic and/or YouTube.
Whooo!! St. Wooooooot! Glad it was a good night.
Yay, St Woot!
Plei, all the ~ma headed your way.
Gronk. I had a fitful night's sleep because I just couldn't calm down. I'm trying now to concentrate on tonight; we have friends coming over to watch Torchwood!
Daisy~ma, PMM. If I remember correctly, Giardia isn't in the standard screen for viruses/parasites, so if they didn't tell you they checked, you might want to ask.
Plei, Sparky speaks wise. Also, in my extremely expensive experience, giardia can be tested for and mis-diagnosed several times before any cysts are found.
Also, also, is whip worm extant in your area?
Bartleby saw 11 different vets before whip worm was diagnosed and eradicated by a $10 preparation you can get off Amazon.
I strongly recommend laying in a supply of Panacur. Bartleby gets it twice a year as a matter of course. It is extremely safe and more effective/less caustic than the prescriptions generally offered by vets.
Aims, tragique!! I may have to embark on my own rewatch.
To burble some more, he is ADORBS. Just, so cute and intelligent and respectful and funny and laid back. His favorite picture of me from OKC is the one where I'm using a compound miter saw. He brushed my hair out of my face and said, "I've been wanting to do that since we had coffee." He's not fazed by my depression or my needy pets or my lack of a job or my complete geekiness. Still kind of waiting for the other shoe, even though we've covered quite a few potential issues already.
They sent two cable techs this time. Fingers crossed!!
How lovely, smonster. I'm loving every post. I feel like a doting old Aunt. ::tiny claps::. How NICE for you, dear!
And good on St. W for knowing a wonderful woman when he sees one.
