What IS Hydrocodone bit/Homat syrup?
I've been referring to it as codeine. Is it? And if someone took it 4 hours after an ativan would she drop dead?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Basically. The hydrocodone is; the "homat" is short for homatropine, which is added to the hydrocodone syrup to discourage overdose. For real.
And if someone took it 4 hours after an ativan would she drop dead?
Nope. Maybe sleepy, but you would wake up again.
Sleepy is good!
(This wasn't even for me, it was for a friend who freaked herself out. Thanks Teppy! GO TEAM HIVE MIND!)
I'm assuming she's not planning on operating any heavy machinery.
See, that's what I was thinking, Ginger!
snorgles smonster back. With dividends!
snorgles juliana for good measure Famke impersonator!
snuggles on Trudy Don't OD; I owe you a hottie!
ETA: Woops, no danger of Trudy OD. Slaps ass, high fives!
WTH? I had to reboot *everything* (computer, modem, router) and suddenly I was logged in as flea. Note that I did not abuse that power.
Yeah, Tep, Not saying that you need to tell everyone everything...it's just kind of obvious they don't know.(Even I don't tell everyone everything and there's not much to say.)
Note that I did not abuse that power.
Wasted opportunity, if you ask me. You should've gotten hammered and drunk posted as flea.
That would've been fun.
I am slightly tipsy. But I couldn't think of anything funny to say. Ah, well.
UGH. Cannot sleep.
Now that I'm content that my houseguest hasn't overdosed, I'm fretting about the pup. The bad days are coming more frequently and staying longer. She's slowing down considerably. She doesn't seem to be in any more than her usual arthritis pain and fluids are going in and out... but she's sleeping more, eating less, walks wear her out quickly, she snuggles limply against me as I carry her home.
Her next vet appointment isn't for another few months and if she's not in pain I'm not taking her in early. Her bloods weren't great, they've been deteriorating. It could be her kidneys or her liver or her heart. I see no signs of infection or I'd take her in and treat it. She's just winding down. 17 years is a long time.
I know she could pep up in a few days, she has again and again before. I also know she may not, that she is being a good dog and doing just what I've always explictly told her to do: Don't run in front of cars. Don't make me put you to sleep. A brief illness, a rapid decline, that's all I ask.
