I don't know if it's that obscure if they're riffing on it in iCarly.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

True enough...I'd forgotten about that, and locally? I don't know many people who ever watched it. But the people on the internet are smarter and cooler than desert-dwelling hooples.
I just think there are a couple of Wire references which have leaked out into the general populace. People that haven't watched the show would probably have a notion if you started yelling, "Omar's coming!"
Yeah, I guess. If our newest cat had been male, I might have called her Omar, but I named her for Tina Turner instead.
I have no idea what that means.
At park, waiting. La la la... I think I'm in the right place. Oh, there he is, methinks.

Oh, that takes me back!
Have fun, smonster! I met Dan through OKC.
Guys, I put this in the business thread, but I've got a launch date for Wordslinger, and just posted a pre-launch blog post to get a backlist of blog posts before I go ALL LIVE, ALL THE TIME. [link]
I'm welcoming feedback and suggestions for the site -- appearance and content -- from anyone who'd like to eyeball it.
Here you go, Smonster: Omar's coming...
The cat thing is just a random thought, smonster. The reference though is to a stone killer that goes to meet someone knowing she will kill or be killed. But, she wants to feel that she looked good one last time. (Which is still surprising, coming from that character...you wouldn't think she would care.)
Good interview, Nora! And really, it was a fabulous event.
Well done, Nora! Events are hard to pull off and you made it look (from the outside) easy.
So I sent him a message asking if he wanted to get a non-alcoholic beverage (he doesn't drink, but doesn't care if others do) and find out what we disagree on. Also, he's a math geek.
Sounds fun. I hope the date goes well, smonster! Don't get axe murdered.
Thanks to all the weight lifting, I have some visible muscle in my upper arms. Yay! However, the skin of my upper arms has gotten noticeably saggier. They actually looked firmer with more fat on them. Are there any tricks for encouraging skin to tighten up?
