Speaking of mom-cleaning, the In-Laws are staying over tomorrow night and also on Saturday. We will be there on Friday, but are using up a free hotel room to stay by the beach (near the family thing they are hear for) on Saturday. I have to MiL-clean and Hide All Sexy-Times stuff. I love my MiL, but I don't trust her not to "accidentally" go through drawers while we are not there.
As to Buffsitae--while my dad was dying in the hospital and I was at my mom's place alone with her, having you guys to virtually escape to saved my sanity. It was such a relief to log on and have you all there. It allwed me to be there for her, so you helped a non-buffista, too!
Guys, do you think most of is would have achieved what we have without B.org?

Okay, anyone who "accidentally" goes through my drawers deserves to find kinkier stuff than I actually would ever use. Seriously.
I did love when my friend John (no, not that one, if you're wondering) would "straighten" up before his parents came over. He had to switch out the Mapplethorpe artwork, etc. He's been living with his husband for ten years now, so he's way past that, but it was amusing at the time.
Ha, but we can't all have these life-changing experiences with each other! We're just imaginary friends. It's not like we know each other or anything, because we just talk on the internets!
Again: I take advice from a toy bunny. My blinvisible imaginary internet friends aren't any weirder.
Life-changing Events: Man, I need one! I would prefer it not involve tumors or living in a large packing crate, but apart from that I'm not too picky.

ION, I was going through some stuff last night and discovered several women's magazines from the 30s that talk about homemaking, clothes making, needlework, entertaining, general items of female interest of the time. I did an eBay search for the title, Modern Priscilla, and found that mint copies with lovely covers weren't selling even at 5 bucks. Mine are not mint, and the covers are gone. Is anyone here so enamored of the late '20s-30s that they'd be interested in paying postage for half a dozen women's magazines?
I'm torn about not keeping them, because the ads are fascinating and the crochet patterns are tempting, but I'm being honest with myself about my space and time limitations.
