And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

sj, I've been following that on twitter most of the morning. I am so jealous!

WS, I'd say sleep over laundry. Laundry's full of allergens; it's clearly a Bad Idea!

I am still leaking and miserable, but I am getting through this section today if it kills me.

I might have to lay down after 5 more pages. ::SNORKSNIFFLEHACK::

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

So, I finally went to Urgent Care (surprisingly painless and efficient), and had a chest xray and and ekg and some poking and prodding, and the results so far are -- nada. They're doing blood work, which will be back tomorrow, so maybe they'll find something there.

“Not dead yet!”

Vortex, I'm glad you went and I'm glad the x-rays and ekg didn't show anything. At this point, I'm almost betting it's the bloodwork that will show something. I hope it will and that it'll be something easily taken care of.

Glad you're not immediately dying, Vortex! Or "Losing your battle with life" per the other thread. :)

I started on East Coast, then progressed to Lindy Hop. Warning - once you've mastered Lindy it's hard to hold yourself back to East Coast.

See, I look at Lindy and think "that takes way too much energy". I can do a basic East Coast, though don't know too many fancy moves, but I'd rather West Coast swing any day.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Awwww. I just got pre-birthday flowers at work from Tim. The card reads, "Dear Steph, Happy Birthday Eve!"

Which prompted a riff of jokes from my co-workers (started by me, of course) about how he sent them to the wrong girlfriend ("Who's EVE, and why were you sending her flowers???").

So I took a picture with my cell phone and texted it to him, and about 2 seconds later I got a text from him asking "Is it okay if I get my hair cut tomorrow night at 7?" I assumed he hadn't gotten the picture text before sending that, or else he REALLY thought I wouldn't let him get his hair cut on my birthday.

So then about 5 seconds after that he called, and when I answered he was laughing his ass off, and finally said, "I hope you know I texted you before I got the picture." I said, "I thought the flowers were a little over the top as an attempt to get me to let you go do something on my birthday."

Sweet boy. Will post crappy camera-phone picture later when I'm at home where the USB cable lives. (My phone is not a smartphone. It's barely a passing-grade phone.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Vortex, I'm glad you got yourself checked out. I hope they find whatever it is, so you can get fixed up.

Teppy, that's adorable.

As for me, I need to grab something to eat, then put the AB drops in my eyes, then head back to bed. (I was reading fic, couldn't tear myself away before this.)

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

See, I look at Lindy and think "that takes way too much energy". I can do a basic East Coast, though don't know too many fancy moves, but I'd rather West Coast swing any day.

When I first started Lindy, I despaired of getting the timing right, but once I did (and I've been doing it for over 10 years now, I think), I always put extra steps into my East Coast because "1,2, Rock Step" is just too slow or not enough steps or something. Do you lead West Coast? I think that makes a huge difference. West Coast is largely the same as Lindy, but the "slot" vs the Lindy Circle means that a West Coast follow covers a HELL of a lot more ground than the lead. Not that I can't do it, I think I just chafe at the unfairness. (Just like in Irish set dancing, the lady is always on the outside of the circle in "lead arounds", so always has to travel farther. My feminism pops up in weirdo places, I guess).

Vortex, sorry that they can't figure it out and FIX IT right away! Frustrating.

Hee, Tep, that's too cute. Pre-birthday!
