I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is Scrappy having her period?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

My dance teacher keeps saying that all good dancers are incredible clods in real life. This portends well for me.

You know the old saying, "If you can walk, you can dance"? It's always discouraged me, because I'm such a clod. Maybe I should sign up for dance lessons (if I can find any at times that don't interfere with work).

Punishingly Intricate

If you can walk, you can dance

I think that you'd at least be able to walk and count. For most formal kinds of dancing anyway.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

There's a movie I saw - The Tango Lesson, I believe - where an English filmmaker is in France working on a movie and sees a tango performance with this wonderful young man dancing. She arranges for a lesson and ... he has her walk around in circles while he talks on the phone. (Later she goes to Buenos Aires and takes real tango lessons - there are some marvelous scenes of people dancing.)

Oops--I meant to post a happy birthday to the fabulous Epic.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

all good dancers are incredible clods in real life

My elegant ballet master, wearing a soft cast: "I knew the paint bucket was there when I walked across the room." Walked across the room with his eyes on the horizon ahead of him and his chin level with the floor, elegantly. Till the paint bucket jumped in front of him and tripped him, evidently.

Oh, Todd, I saw that movie! B&W, yes? OMG that may be the single hottest thing I've ever seen on film. Do you remember the title? I would love to see it again.

“Not dead yet!”

Well, I sucked up my nerve and posted the video Lewis took. I'll probably only leave it up for a while and then take it down, so if you wanna see what three months of lessons looks like, here's your chance.

Also, I move out of frame a bit because Lewis was trying to be stealthy with the camera and not let me see him filming. Got news for him, he could've had a full film crew and I wouldn't have noticed. Why yes, I was a bit nervous.

No, full color - it's this one.
