What do you call a person who, daily life permitting, would get up around 7:30 or 8? That's not a morning person,
Oh yeah, that's a morning person
That's what I was thinking! I don't have to get up until 7:45 and I hate it like burning. (As in, that's WAY the fuck too early for me.)

I think it's not so much about time as inclination/awakeness. I mean, if you work until 2AM and pop up out of bed at 10AM, I'd still call you a morning person...
Though admittedly, I think I am not so much a night person as a late afternoon/early evening person! That's when I have the most energy for working out, when I'm most cheerful, when I can focus best and get shit done (I used to work 9:30-7 or so, and always got the most done from 4-7)
Oh yeah, that's a morning person. That's four to four and half hours to noon.
So, okay, I may be a morning person by some measures.

But less so by others.
I'm a easier to wake up when the sun comes up than when it's overcast or pitch dark in the morning type person.
I get up between 7 and 8 most days. Mostly because DH gets up that early and partly because it takes that long to become fully coherent. I used to b e a major night owl but with this marathon walking prep - I just need sleep
I'm diurnal. I typically wake up at dawn, but I am rarely chipper about it. On really overcast days I never quite wake up all the way. And yet, there was a time when I was quite a night owl.
Hey, All.
Really late to the convo, Steph, but I thought I'd throw in my $.02, given my own recent experience. I just finished abt 6 wks housesitting for someone. I've sat for her before and I'm pretty sure she includes the request every time, but the, "...I don't mind if you want to have a friend over, but please, no overnight guests," really bugged. I felt a little insulted, and, if I had been seeing anyone, would have 100% ignored her anyway. So I second (or 3rd, or whatev) the "just don't let him have your fave sheets, etc." suggestions.
ION, an hour and a half until my 40th - Cass, how's the weather on that side?
You might, but then again, my DH sleeps like the dead, and in the morning he's no easier to wake than they are.
I actually find this reassuring.
What do you call a person who, daily life permitting, would get up around 7:30 or 8? That's not a morning person, but it's not a dedicated sleeper-inner either. Anyway, that's me.
*I* call it a morning person. My parents call it sleeping in.
Then again, I was happily sitting outside the other night reading until 1. It was all Southern California balmy and ... mornings are so early.

You know, not terrible. Then again, I made my family sing, "and you don't look 40" instead of, "happy birthday." Embrace the sunscreen and enjoy.
I am going to be 30 minutes early in wishing you a happy birthday (and you don't look 40!) because I am not sure I going to be awake once the clock rolls over.
HAPPY EPIC BIRTHDAY, EPIC!

Thanks! 20 minutes to go, but I'm going to call this the Epic Beginning of my EPIC Birthday (I like that, hee)!
