That's awesome, Aims! Is that your crafting area behind the shelves?
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Go, Aims!
Career~ma for Tom.
Not yet, but this weekend it will be! It's Joe's office right now, but we'll be sharing a space. Maybe. It's pretty crappy lighting over there - both windows are on Em's side - so I might just take a corner of her space.
My co-worker gave me a gallon of wrongly mixed paint that is the same exact color as that velvet, so the back and side wall of the play are are going to be painted. I'm hoping to find some cheap carpet remnant to put down and then we're putting in a sleeper sofa and the old kitchen table and chairs. I also have some wire shelves for down there that might end up being mine. I think I may have gotten to the point where I cleaned out so much, I now have too much storage space and not enough to store!
I have been vibing for Tom. I just neglected to type that fact.
And career~~~~ma for Tom!!!
Thanks guys- the meeting went well, so he has a lot of thinking and deciding to do, which is definitely not his favorite thing. But hopefully he'll figure out his best move.
You all will be amused to know that my mother is making the whole missed dinner thing about her. Last week, she called me to complain about someone scheduling a dinner without asking her, to be honest, I tuned out after a while. She now claims that the reason that she was so upset was because we had to cancel dinner and that's why she didn't make it. I am quite sure that she didn't mention it because she would have wanted to reschedule. And because she was so vague about it. When she thinks she's right, she's adamant. When she knows she's wrong, there's a lot of "maybe"s and "I could have sworn"s
I'm glad Tom's meeting went well.
It's great to see the updates about you settling in, smonster.
Aimee, your work is inspiring! I have a bunch of reorganizing to do here and I've been dragging my feet about it. But I really want to have a nice, livable space for the summer.
We did hours of gardening today. I am not the most gung-ho gardener, but there you go. I want to get that done too, before the June gloom burns away.
Wellit finally got done because we had a tornado warning and I refused to go in the basement. I told Joe that I would rather risk the storm than go down in the basement.
Then it occired to me that that was incredibly stupid and I should get cracking.
