Scrubbed 2nd br floor for 15 minutes. Went back to hands and knees for more detailed scrubbing, but the landlord got paint splatters all. over. the floor and there's not much I can do about that right now. Have added knee pads to hardware list. Ow. But in good news, nothing in the box was broken! Woot!

And now we pause for something I'm sure I didn't invent, but which is DAMN tasty - the grilled boudin sandwich.

I'm trying to wrap my mind around eating "brunch" on a Wednesday. It just seems wrong to me. Brunch is a weekend luxury! :)

It's summer! Also, not sure what else to call pancakes eaten at 10. (I'm visiting my parents now, and my mother wanted eggs but didn't feel like cooking them, so going out seemed like the best bet.)

Yesterday, we started the mass exodus of crap from our basement. And by we, I mean me, Em, and the two girls I'm babysitting for the summer. Yesterday we got a lot of Emeline's stuff sorted and somewhat organized - I'm waiting for the shelves I bought at an estate sale last weekend to show up. Today, I started on my stuff. All my Girl Scout, sewing, and craft stuff. I have 6 of those 3 drawer rubbermaid things full and a 5 drawer Rubbermaid thing full. I have a lot of sewing and crafting stuff. And of course, that doesn't include all of Emeline's art supplies.

So far, I have created 2 bins of recycling (mostly paper), 12 bags of garbage, and emptied 9 Rubbermaid bins.

My back is killing me. I'm taking an 800mg ibuprofen, carb-loading with Wheat Thins, and having a break. The girls are watching "Despicable Me".

Good for you, Aims! That kind of organizing is so hard to do, but so satisfying once you slog through!

Thanks, Scrappy. It's been hard, exhausting work, but I'm at the point where I'm being really strict with myself in regards to what I allow myself to keep. Otherwise, it'll get out of control again. It was so bad I was practically having panic attacks going down there.
