Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Darby'll be ok, Brenda!

I know several people who have dogs who need to be anesthetized to do this, and it's ok.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I once made for a date a corsage entirely of origami flowers.

Perhaps if you'd tried an origami echidna ... she might not appreciate it, but it might be a good compatability test.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm excited, after all these years of y'all being TJ this and TJ that.

The Carmelized Onion dip is our new crack of choice.

Deep breaths, brenda! Darby'll be fine and he won't have stink mouth when it's done.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

They opened a new Wegmans someplace in the area - people lined up for hours waiting to get in.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I like Wegmans but I won't line up for an hour unless there are G-forces involved.

I love getting flowers probably because it doesn't happen very often. Also a very special girl in my life just adores flowers so pretty much all flowers make me think of her and that's kind of awesome, being reminded of her.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

It'll be OK, brenda. I've been through it several times. I totally get why it's scary, though. Darby ~ma!

TJ's opening is very exciting, indeed. I'm having a TJ's quiche for lunch today.

Thrive to spite them

I like getting flowers just because. Although it's been tricky keeping the cats out of the flowers.

Job interview is at 11:30, I'm trying not to be nervous. I was told to dress casual, because the vet will be dressed casual. So I'm wearing a nice top, dark jeans, flats. What I would have worn for casual Friday. I don't know how casual she meant and I don't want to be too casual.

I think it's best to err on the side of business-casual for an interview at a vet's office.

You want to strike a balance between looking appropo for an interview, and not coming off as a person who can't wrestle a dog or cat because she's too worried about getting hair on her pants.

Your outfit sounds fine. Good luck!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

askye, interview~ma for you.

I love getting flowers, except when they don't last long I get really sad. For a while, Daniel would occasionally get me a potted flowering plant, but since I have a black thumb, I would get even more sad when they died. So to avoid the sadness, he focuses on doing other things to make me smile.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Flowers are pretty. I like getting pretty things. It's that simple. I don't mind if it's a first date or not.
