I'm reading as much as I can and nodding along, fwiw. Erin and Pix, your patience in the face of Rampant Tino-ism in two of its worse forms (Ex-wife Tino and Money-clutching-conniving-supercilious-control-freak-businessmanager Tino) is amazing.
Gud! Congratulations!
That's all I have. I'm restricted on screen time because the sinus infections have incurred screen-related eyestrain that is quite possibly going to drive me mad. My Dr. says it will get better soon and amped up the meds, thank god. The past two months I've been a complete zombie, with added sneezing. That was the normal bad rites of spring. This? Taking away my Internet? Separating me from my books? Forcing me to use a pen and paper? The stupid trees are on The List. It had better fix soon or I may start chopping at trunks.
Just spent 45 minutes on the phone with Mac support, and now I'm reinstalling OS X. This had better work.
OK, I've now spent close to two hours on the phone with Apple, and my MacBook is still not working. The next idea is to try a new installation disk, which they've got to mail me, so I need to wait a few days before seeing if that works.
What's very useful when I'm typing things is to have the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack stuck on a loop in my head.
Probably because I've played on a loop off my computer three times today.
Ahh!!! Today's Google doodle is in honor of Richard Scarry! I so want copies of the books I adored when I was wee, wee little!. If only they weren't so damned expensive.
Fuck me sideways. Landlady is letting me stay past lease expiration at pro-rated rent. But new tenants want to move in Thursday night. I was planning to leave Friday morning. This is going to be interesting. Apparently, all parties seem to be flexible to some "overlap," trying to establish what that would mean. It might mean that I don't have to clean before I leave, which would be cool with me.
That's weird, smonster. If it happens, make damn sure the landlady does the walk-through, checks off on the list, and gives you a copy.
Smonster, good luck with that. When do you leave?
Good luck, smonster.
I'm ridiculously bored and need to do something, but I don't know what to do. I'm thinking though my options, and can't come up with much -- the stores that are open on Sundays will be closed pretty soon, I already had dinner, and the only bars within walking distance are kind of blah.
I mean, it's not much of a change, but it's a little added pressure. Oh well, I do my best work with a tight deadline! As we drove back from the beach today, my sister took notes for me as I did several to-do lists for different contexts, so it was good to get all that out of my brain and organized. And I do have a lot of help this week.
Thanks for the reminder, Erin.
