Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's at least 85 degrees in my apartment. (That's the highest the thermometer goes, and it's pointing all the way to 85.) The air conditioners won't be put in until tomorrow. I've got windows open, which is kind of pointless because it's just as hot outside, and I've got the ceiling fan on, but it's still near unbearable. I'm just sitting on the couch reading, and there's sweat dripping down my neck.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Laga, it's probably two years old.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Worst sick day timing ever. Today is a holiday, so i'm missing out on 10 hrs of OT pay. *sigh* If only i had followed my instinct yesterday morning and called in sick yesterday, the day of rest might have been enough to get me through today at work and then on to my 3 day weekend. *smacks forehead and checks online bank account*

Hil can you go to an air conditioned chain bookstore with comfy chairs?

That's what I've done a few times this week. Yesterday, I went to the supermarket and, after finding the things I needed, just walked up and down the freezer aisle a few times, which helped me feel better some. I'm thinking about going out to dinner, but I don't really like going to restaurants alone. Just sitting there waiting for the food is boring.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Just sitting there waiting for the food is boring.

Bring a book.

I'm trying to drink a lot of water, but I'm still getting headachey.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Didn't someone here recommend putting your sheets in the freezer during hideously hot conditions?

Just sitting there waiting for the food is boring.

Bring a book.

Also? It's air conditioned. Only you can decide what you dislike more: (1) heatstroke or (2) having to wait in an air conditioned restaurant for people to bring you food you didn't have to cook or shop for.

Ooh, or you could sit there and pretend you're the Queen of England, and everyone in the restaurant are your subjects.
