I have just taken my nightly insomnia meds, let's hope they work! Let's also hope that I don't get the traveling sinus headache that seems to sprint between Seattle and PDX.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Let's also hope that I don't get the traveling sinus headache that seems to sprint between Seattle and PDX.
Oh, I have custody tonight. Go forth and sleep.
I napped after Formula One and before the Indy 500 and got a brief Nathan Fillion semi-naughty dream. Clearly Hypnos was my friend for a couple of hours. Also there was a killer hotel room involved. It had a couple of fireplaces and cookies. And then Fillion. My subconscious has earned some credit.
Unless we can just banish the headaches. That'd be better than anyone having them.
When not working, i've been re-reading a book about viral zombies (_Feed_) listening to an audio book about viral vampires (_The Fall_) and playing plants vs zombies. Why am i shocked at having scary dreams?
oh, and still battling my own little non-Kellis-cured cold virus. Bleargh. I"m fine as long as i don't talk. But being at work rather necessitates talking. It's a lose-lose situation. No one at work want to listen to me cough, and i don't want to be there coughing, but i've hit the threshold where any more sick time i take will equal getting a "letter of counseling" in my file for 'excessive sick time use'. Seriously. *sigh* stoopid policies furthering continued exposure and spreading of nasties.
Ugh. The world so rarely deals with what real life is. Like being sick and wanting to just be done with it.
I hope you feel better.
And I need to read Feed, I think.
Why am i shocked at having scary dreams?
I'll admit, I have been watching a lot of racing this weekend so when a driver I don't even follow showed up in my dreams, I wasn't crazy shocked.
Can't explain the Fillion one. Or the hotel room.
Except it was amazing and I'd totally reblog that on Tumblr.
Hello I is not dead. Just been rather sick. Everyone feel free to booooo Seska's body. Or to encourage it to do better. The two-week migraine is at least giving me a morning's break today!
Erin, the painted egg arrived a couple of days ago. Thank you SO much! (I'm sorry I didn't get straight onto the boards to thank you.) It's absolutely beautiful, and just what I was looking for for my study, which needed something beautiful on the windowsill. You are a very talented artist.
In memememe stuff, I'm having a faith crisis/rethinking period. I'm exploring a new spiritual path which is, well, complicated. I'm devouring books and doing a lot of thinking. This would be fine if I had anyone to talk to about it, but The atheist Girl isn't keen on discussing it, and my dad (the once-Christian now-Taoist who is currently doing Shamanism training and knows about faith-type-things) isn't free for a while and he's deaf so we can't talk on the phone. Ah well. Yay spiritual things. Also yay atheists. (Especially the beautiful one I'm married to. Who is in America at the moment helping her brother move house. Silly Girl.)
Shir! Israel next week! Mini-F2F, yes? The Girl says if you can manage to come to Tel Aviv it would be easier, as she knows a lot about the access of places there and can get me around a lot more easily than elsewhere. I need to try and remember to ask *again* which days we're free and let you know. I think she might have said possibly Saturday, though (but I don't know if you keep Shabbat and if that's therefore a problem).
I will now catch up on 600 posts and think about someone other than myself.
What would make a guy think that listing "The Game" by Neil Strauss as the last book he read and enjoyed in his eHarmony profile would be a good idea?
Just think of it as preemptive contraception, Hil, and be grateful.

Maybe he wants to attract women who don't read. Ever.
Can we hire Nora's cousin to be Vortex's mom's chauffeur?
HEE.
Thanks for validation, guys. There's more, but grabby hands and smoochy noises will have to do, because I decided to go on a bender last night, and then came home and threw up everywhere (though sober self is impressed with drunkard self's ability to clean most everything up before passing out). I literally went out last night and was like, HEY YOU KNOW WHAT'S FUN AND STEREOTYPICALLY IRISH, GETTING SHITFACED BECAUSE I'M SAD. Shoulda made punch I tell you what.
Also, thank you, Jilli, for helping me realize that 2011-2005 is actually six and not seven!
Ryan's latest exploits: he has a pair of red gloves. His grandparents were taking him out for a walk, but he didn't want to wear them. Daddy to the rescue! I fetched my gloves and put them on, thereby persuading my little boy that glove-wearing was just so in this season. He acquiesced to his grandmother installing his red gloves on his hands, with which he then blew me a kiss goodbye as he was leaving. (He does that.)
After Wallybee came home and talked to her parents, I learned that he ditched the gloves the moment I was out of sight. Ryan: 1, Penguin Daddy: nil.
