TCG and I took his brother with us to the Edward Gorey exhibit in Boston today. We're not sure he really liked it, but we had a blast.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
That's another exhibit I would love to go see. For lo, I am predictable.
Sadly, that one ends next week, but the house in Cape Cod is always there.
I am verra excited about the Tim Burton exhibit.
Steph glad you are getting the IUD!!
My old HMO didn't cover an IUD. Or rather, only the largest employer in the city had the option to cover it. I've found that the pill and depo both mess with my moods too much. So I want an IUD. The current insurance will cover the doctor's visits but not the device itself so it will still cost. I did ask and my HMO would cover me getting my tubes tied for an out of pocket cost of $126.00 but I'm not ready to take that step.
Anyway once things settled own a bit I'm going to see how much an IUD would cost.
I went to on a shopping expedition. Looking for more work type clothes. I have stuff from my previous job, but it was really on the casual end of business casual so I wanted a few more dressier pieces. Unfortunately I hated everything at Lane Bryant, the Lane Bryant outlet, Kohls, Macy's, JCPenny, Sears, and TJ Maxx. Except 2 pairs of pants I got at the outlet.
Getting back was interesting, I got caught in a combination of heavy traffic (for the weekend I guess) and bad weather. I ended up avoiding the interstate and it took me a loong time to get here, but most of that was just trying to get out of Burlington.
Just as another data point, I found the IUD messed with my mood a bit in the same way the pill did, at least for the first two years. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to reup or figure something else out.
Hmm. Would an iUD let me skip periods but not make my hair straight? The pill is making my hair straight and it makes me sad. But my period gives me migraines.
The pill makes your hair straighter? Man, hormones are freaky.
I wonder if that works for black people.
Yeah, I had an old coworker who said it did the same to her hair. It's now more frizzy and less curly. It's sad.
Eta: it kind of makes sense though, since my hair didn't get curly until puberty. Hormones do whacky things.
