Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I asked on facebook where to get a car rack. A guy I went to high school with, who currently lives in Utah and lists his occupation as "professional ski bum," responded with links within minutes. I guess ski bums become mountain bikers in the summer.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Vermont passes single-payer health care. Not soon enough for askye, unfortunately.

Thrive to spite them

I saw that and one reason I love this state. It's going to take a while to enact anyway, they have to get a waiver from the Feds and the soonest that can happen is 2014 or 2017, depending. So right now it's just going to be a lot of studies and things to put it into motion.

And of course there are the people who think this is going to lead to financial ruin for the state but it's nice to live in a state where health care is considered a right by the majority and not one that's trying to sell off the state to the highest bidder.

Is it wrong to want a perfume just for the bottle?

Really enjoying the Pucci perfume bottles.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oooh, those are pretty! And I like the idea of a "travel spray," too.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm a slave to packaging

Oh, truer words. Presentation is... half of the thing. More than, probably, where I'm concerned.

I haz DW codes, too, if anybody wants.

I'm trying to study Hebrew. I have discovered that the future tense makes no sense whatsoever. Perhaps the most confusing is that the "You (masculine) will" and "She will" forms are the same as each other, but not the same as either the "You (feminine) will" or the "He will" forms. And the more I look at this verb chart, the weirder it seems. And then there's a footnote saying that this chart is the modern Hebrew forms, and biblical Hebrew is different in two of them.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And yet, probably still easier than learning English.

I'm trying so hard to like this person who is marrying my friend but yesterday she was bragging about how she never told her grandmother how much she charges to give haircuts (she charges her friends $25) so her grandma gives her $80-$90 every time she cuts her hair. Then today I overheard her telling a friend, "I can't imagine paying $80 for a haircut." I wonder if her mother knows and I really want to tell her.
