Steph, of course YMMV but since wellbutrin is also used to treat ADHD it can easily disrupt sleep patterns and alter your metabolism in wierd ways. I had no trouble tapering off the wellbutrin, but did it pretty slow - in 2 month increments. tapering off the celexa, OTOH, was pretty much a no-go. It was funny, my (sometimes very thin already) filters pretty much disappeared. Getting through a day at work without pissing someone off was nearly impossible. Mentioned that to the Dr and she said it does sometimes have that effect on people. Tact. In a pill.

So I ought to switch to an SSRI. But they make me gain weight and mess with my sexytimes, and it's turning out that a lot of the generic SSRIs also give me an allergic reaction.

Fwiw, Pristiq was the magic drug for me. Once I gave up on Wellbutrin (I had similar side effects unexpectedly after a couple of years of no problems), I told the doc I didn't want to go back on one of the SSRIs because of the weight gain/sex issues, and he suggested this magic new drug. And...well, it's magic. For me, anyway. No anxiety (beyond normal), no depression, and no weight gain. It is brand name only, unfortunately, but it's been worth every penny for my sanity.

Wellbutrin gave me a 24 hr anxiety attack. I didn't stay on it long.

Generic Zoloft is, so far, treating me right. But I started it around the same time I changed jobs, so it's kind of hard to tell how much was drugs and how much situational.

God, why is moving so expensive? I'm reconsidering my rental truck plan and thinking about not taking any furniture and just shipping stuff. IDEK.

I used something like POD but way cheaper...i THINK it was U-Pack or something similar. They drop off a unit and you pack it, then they truck to wherever and drop it off. You unpack, they come back and take it away. It was way cheaper than a rental truck, but the caveat is that the units are moved based on their trucking schedule, so it might be a few days or even a week. There's also an even cheaper option where you get x linear feet of a big cargo truck.

Furniture is expensive to move if you don't really love it. If it's cheap ikea particle board ... heck, just craigslist that stuff for a little extra spending money and hit the thrift stores once you arrive. I regret moving my barely-together chest of drawers. It was bulky and heavy and already splinted together in the back. My folding bookshelves, OTOH? They are precious and make me happy. Plus they fit in the back of my honda civic.

(and i firmly believe that there is something deeply therapeutic in getting a new bed after a big relocation. bed is where i rest, regenerate, restore - and i loved the symbolism of a new bed to go with a new home. but that's just me.)

erin, I'm pricing those options, too. I really only have a couple of bulky pieces I want to hold on to - a solid wood bookshelf from childhood and a cherry dresser. Everything else either breaks down flat or I'm selling/giving away. I need a new bed - my mattress/boxspring are 20+ yrs old and have held out very well but are starting to sag. Also, I'd like a queen.

I'm also going to call a guy I know to see if he's got a van he's selling and would make me a deal on. Speaking of vehicles, my car insurance is apparently going to jump by $300+ with this move. Fuckity.

Okay, going to try to go to sleep again. I may need sleeping pills of some kind to make it through this move.
