Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

California raspberry for me. Running's made my feet a little sore, which seemed like as good an excuse for a pedi as any. Amyth's indulging me in what was originally advertised as a grocery run.

Ha! Don't let her fool you. She offered to take me grocery shopping (favor #1) and then suggested pedicures when I got into the car and offered to treat me (favor #2). She's trying to disguise her awesome.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Yay for surprise pedicures!

It's finally sunny here, and I have a lot of stuff to do (mostly to get myself and the apartment and the cats ready for my trip to NYC/Ireland next week), but really I just want to go sit outside and read, or go ride my bike.

Thrive to spite them

I went to the St Albans Farmer's Market today. I drove over to see if it was going on (it's really within walking distance and next week I walk over) and there's no actual produce yet what with the late winter and all the damn rain.

But tons of baked goods, preserves, local wine, cool jewelry and stuff. And Puerto Rican food! Unfortunately I was full from a late breakfast but I got a desert tembleque- an amazing coconut custard.

Next week I'm going to have lunch from there.

This is really exciting because this is the only option for any kind of Latin American food within about a 45 minute drive.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I walked to the library and browsed a bit, then I had a salad with farmers market lettuce for lunch. Now, the neighbors are using some sort of things with engines on their lawn, so I'm trying to decide if I want to stay here or go out somewhere, because I do not like the noise.

At least we'll meet the post-Rapture tribulations with pretty feet.

Watching the Preakness undercard, then watching the Preakness. . . soaking my feet later today.

Oh, Preakness. I forgot about Preakness! But I can't watch because the SO is in the tv room. And he's watching Indy pole day. What time is the actual race, sumi?
