Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I don't mind sorting the garbage, it's what I do, but I just wanted a bit more sleep because it will be a long, hot, dirty, smelly, sweaty day.
quester, lots of ~ma for peaceful passing.
I slept. Not enough, but some. Here's hoping I don't get homicidal on a drunken festival-goer or one particular staffperson.
Ah, good. It's nice to have evidence that he is, in fact, a Real Boy, and not just some magnificent piece of adorable whimsey.
It wasn't so bad, really. As life lessons go, it was pretty cheap. Of course, he's just turned two, so here's a decent chance that this is what the literary world would call "foreshadowing".
One adorable side effect of turning two - he's soaking up new words like a sponge now (in two languages). I am proud to report that his latest word is "book". Even more exciing than "No!" This morning we were looking through a picture book on colours. The black and white page has a picture of a spider, and I've always told him, "This is a spider, and we don't touch spiders, no." Today we got to the spider, and he pointed at it started giggling and shaking his head vigorously, and saying "No! No!" I figure either I've made it less likely he'll touch a spider, or he wants one for a pet.
Ryan as a young Jedi is awesome.
He is! That's a dressing gown my dad sent him for his second birthday. He loves it. Of course, I'm the only one in the household who makes that connection.
Anyway, I've put together a list of my twelve favourits photos of the little boy. (It was going to be ten, but I couldn't choose two more to cut.) They are:

Erin, re: weighing your boobies, have you ever listened to the Bette Midler comedy album? She has a bit in there about this very subject (and I'm paraphrasing--it's been a long while since I listened to it): "One day, I was looking at the mail scale, and I thought, 'Gee, I wonder...' So I weighed them! I won't tell you how much they weighed, but I will say that it would cost $59.17 to mail them to Brazil."
There's a scene in the Green Wing pilot in which Naughty Rachel does just that. (Weighs her boobs on the mail scale, not mails them to Brazil.)
smonster, good luck with your day.
What are people doing this weekend?
I have PT this morning, and then we're headed to an asparagus festival today and then back to the nursing home to see F. Part of me is feeling guilty to not spend the whole day at the nursing home, but the other part knows that I am getting very close to hitting a wall in terms of my ability to deal, so a few hours of distraction will be good.
quester, easy passing ~ma for your uncle and peace ~ma for your whole family.
Weekend: I'm almost through with Catching Fire, so I'll probably spend part of the day reading Mockingjay, hopefully outside, because it's going to be gorgeous. And I'm going grocery shopping with Calli, and I hope to hit the gym. Tonight is Who with the neighbors. Tomorrow, catching up on a lot of Fringe and smonster's going away party.
~ma to you too, sj, and all you're dealing with with F.
quester, easy passing ~ma to your uncle, and ~ma to your family.
Much peace~ma to you and your family, quester.
smonster, I'm sorry the insomnia fairy just went a couple miles east when I finally kicked her ass out the door.
And separately, because it didn't really fit with the other, I'm currently a 38-40, DD. When I'm in decent shape it goes down to a 36D, which is generally findable, although not as much in the pretty colors and lacy end of the bra aisle. I found one particular bra that works well with my current rack and I bought half a dozen in white and beige. Oddly enough, I can find sports bras in my current size pretty easily at the local running supply store. Lots of sports stores don't make it easy for the larger bosomed to wrangle their tits for exercise purposes, but Fleet Feet does all right.
