I am! That incident did indeed attract the attention of this board previously. (Natter 16, starting from post 8681, available in Archives if anyone's interested.) It is one of the conversations on this board that achieved legendary status.
The article makes for an interesting read. I'm particularly impressed to learn that homosexual rape has previously been recorded in mallards, and necrophilia has also been previously recorded in mallards; this incident simply brings the two together for the first time (and for 75 minutes).

I just think its fascinating that while maybe Shir didn't know about gay mallard necrophilia from the first time around, she knows us enough to know that it's something we would be interested in. And it's been a long time since that came up so it's not like it's currently a hot topic or something.
On some level, there's a connection between Buffy and the duck necrophilia. I have no idea what it is, but it's fascinating.
