Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Heh-- mine literally doesn't care. He loves it long, short, whatever. I think if I ever went platinum he might raise an eyebrow and ask what I was smoking, but otherwise, he's good with whatever I want to do.

I just got my hair cut on Friday and had the weirdest thing--she was chopping off the back (I like it short and it had been three months since my last haircut) and another hairdresser wandered past and said "Ooh! That's a great hairline!" (and then demanded my hairdresser not shave it (which she indignantly said she wasn't going to)). I had to laugh--I don't think I had ever contemplated whether my hairline looked nice!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

D. likes it off my neck, for reasons I will not detail, but he never says a word about my hair decisions.

He is a wise man.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have a problematic hairline! It comes to two little v's, like the bottom of a batwing, so there's always some confusing bit going on back there. They often do shave it, but then it grows out doofy and makes the back of my hair stick out. And I have two cowlicks, including one at the front which has led to years and years of awkward school photos with unbalanced or much too short bangs because of stylists frantically trying to compensate after they didn't notice. Which is probably why I've always hated bangs. This last cut was no different, even though I discussed it with the stylist beforehand. Which of course soured me on going back in anywhere, but I need to, because my hair is getting dangerously close to mullet territory, and while I will defend my sweet 80's boys and their hockey haircuts, it's not a style I intend to sport myself.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It comes to two little v's, like the bottom of a batwing

That's cool, though! That looks optimal when it's short but not shaved. So at about 3/4 of an inch and that would look very Batman.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Pete is crazy possessive of my hair, and gets very cranky if I mention ideas like bleaching out the roots on one side so I can start dying them pink. Thankfully, now that I know about human hair extensions with micro-ring attachments, I can have lots of pink streaks without him flipping out about possible damage.

Weirdo. I love him, but he's a weirdo.

Seska, congrats to you and The Girl! It sounds like it was a lovely day.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Now that I know The Girl's name, I'm going to add congratulations on acquiring your very own rose of Sharon. Yeah, I know, a beautiful Jewish woman named Sharon has never been called that before.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

As for the events of the day: a big maybe on a possibly deliberate car crash by a truck on a main road in Tel Aviv, demonstrations that led to shooting by the IDF in the northern border and Gaza, another demonstration on the border with Egypt, demonstrations with violent clashes with the IDF/riots in East Jerusalem.

In other words: Nakba day [link]

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, goodness, Shir. May you and yours stay safe.

Seska! You're married! To The Girl! How awesome is that!? VERY.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm thinking safe thoughts of you, Shir.

Jilli do you know about these?
