I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

didn't you get prescriptions and see doctors while on that plan?

No - I'm not on any ongoing meds, so I was blissfully unaware that I wasn't actually covered until, oh, a couple of hours ago. (You may be thinking of a different buffista.)

I'm mostly stupid healthy, and so can sometimes get away with that kind of ignorance. It also means I'm historically cheap as shit to insure, but I don't see that argument carrying me far in the face of "sorry, you needed to sign a totally different piece of paper 4 months ago".

It also scares me that while I don't have any recent nasties, I have a big habit of pushing my body to just this side of injury, and I'm not exactly getting younger.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

amych, wtf? So, like, they were just keeping all that money, la la la? I hope you get it straightened out.

Just had a 40 min convo with a potential roomie, and I think we'd live together fairly well, but the timing may not work out. I'd rather not move twice in 3 months if I can avoid it. But things might work, if I can find a place that she can go look at, and then she can find someone to sublet for a bit.

Thrive to spite them

Insurance issues suck.

I think Dean is okay -he's been trying to climb the walls. So far he's gotten on top of the refrigerator, the cat tree, and 2 of the radiators and keeps reaching up and putting his paws on the walls like he can figure out a way to scale them.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think Dean is okay

I'm glad to hear it.

I am really glad that neither of my cats go after pills. I take those same vitamin Ds and I have dropped more than a few. My heart froze when I read your post.

and keeps reaching up and putting his paws on the walls like he can figure out a way to scale them.

Apparently I taught a friend's cat bad things. I got an email saying, "If I pick Mina up when she's hyper these days, she starts craning her neck looking for bugs." This might be because I was doing this the other night. Might. She might have figured it out all on her own though.

Dean gets bored and starts knocking things over and then tries to climb the walls. I would have gotten out the laser pointer but I'll leave that for later.

He can be a very sweet kitty and a very weird one. Since the cats don't have the oversized chair to sleep on they've been sleeping on my bed. And when I got bed or go to lay down - if he's on the bed, he'll jump down.

And go curl up in the recliner where I was just sitting. But in the mornings they are both on the foot of the bed (this is relatively new). I'm not used to it so I've kicked them off a few times by accident.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I have no answers.

But.

ZOMG, GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY! I sold my first pysanka online! In my very own Etsy shop! Even with insanely high shipping costs! (for i am new to online selling, and very confused by complex things like variable shipping costs, so just went with the large flat rate box cuz i know that works.) This, after selling my very first pysanky in person at a craft show on Saturday. Holy crap, if i sell 3 more online this year i'll turn a profit!

You might have noticed i am excited. I am EXCITED! Just need to way for the paypal payment to clear cuz i already have it boxed and will be ready to ship tomorrow!

Anyone here have sucess selling on Etsy? I could use pointers. And help. And suggestions.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Wait, i just got an email telling me: "To claim your payment, you'll have to upgrade to a PayPal Business account. Log in to your account and follow these instructions:"

Is that true? I can't receive monies through paypal without upgrading to a business account? I don't need a business account. eta: it seems like rubbish. the email came from the buyer's email account, not from paypal. And paypal's site makes it seem like business includes additional features, but that you can still receive transactions through a personal account. Hrm. Imma gonna be really bummed if my first sale was some kind of shill attempt from paypal.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

erin, I didn't know you make pysanky! There are a few of my husband's up in my flickr account--can you link (or point) to pictures of the one you sold? Got any more?

I'm sorry to geek on you, I just love them a lot. How long does it take you to make one?

Er--sorry, the rest of you. Relinguishing the steering wheel of the conversation.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

my etsy store is here For me there is a menu option for "sold" items that shows the one i currently have boxed up, waiting for paypal to tell me that monies are good before i take it to the post office.

The one that sold is about a 4-5 hr dealie. I made a whole bunch of super simple 3 or 4 color designs for a craft show last weekend so i could sell them cheap for $20 each, and those only take 2 or 3 hrs each. But of course i love love LOVE the super intricate designs that take 10-12 hrs and work best on goose eggs. LOL. I've got about 6 dozen chicken eggs and 4 completed goose eggs market ready but didn't want to list more than a dozen at a time...but of course i went a little overboard and ended up listing 16 :)

eta: and interestingly of the 4 i sold over the weekend in person and one online, all were designs from one of the Ukranian Gift Shop designs books. Three of the ones in the etsy shop are original designs but they aren't quite as striking as Luba's creations :)
