Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My tweet for this morning says that my mother gave me life, but did not teach me to live or to be happy. Other people's mothers did that, and I am eternally grateful.
A client sent the sweetest email today, thanking me for 'mothering her into health.'
See? That's the stuff I live for.
Happiest of thoughts and days to all the mothering and mothering-adjacent Buffistas. Which pretty much includes everyone, right?
Oh my heavens-- congrats, Kenny!
Happy Mother's Day to not only the biological moms among us, but the many who do such a wonderful job with the mothering and the nurturing of families. From that standpoint, Buffista Island is rich, indeed.
Family made me breakfast this morning, taunted me with promises of swan butt jewelry just to see me blanch in horror, and in a bit, we're going to a ball game. Life is good.
Happy Mother's Day, Bitches!
Nowhere else in this 'verse could I say that!
Job update: I survived my 1 week trial and have been asked back for a second. The guy who is training me to be his assistant went out of town for Fri, Mon-Wed, and the parents were concerned that I would not have enough to do. Well, if Friday is any indication, I will have plenty to do! The place is insane and the organization is individually optional.
Once I get a better handle on things, I will try to impose a bit more common sense to what I can. If they hire me permanently, that is.
I've bought gas twice in the last week! I must take the interstate to work and the speed limit is 70 mph so it is eating gas. I checked the oil yesterday and was almost dry. Eeeeek!!!
Condolences. burrell.
Congrats to Kenny!
Go you, vw, with your mad dating self.
Power on quester with the new job!
I am wiped out and just now aware of the outside world. Had a good work team in this week; the kids loved them. There`s a wildfire down on Apache and at least one of my students had to evacuate. And I have a ton of laundry to do today.
Roller-Women!
Members of Scare Force One were out in front of my house this morning, handing out invites to their May 14 bout with DC Demoncrats. We had a lovely chat about them being in love with my dog, but when on the spot, I completely blanked on your noms du skate. I felt so stupid!
Anyway, the crowds seemed to be enjoying them and visa-versa.
Good deal, quester. But UGH on the gas. Keep track of your milage -- you can totally claim excessive milage on taxes, I'm pretty sure.
Happy Mother's Day, all!
(I got a Mother's day present for the first time -- a little flower from Dan. I'm just a stepmom, and not even full-time at that, but it was really sweet!)
Happy Mothers Day, Bitches!!!
Bonny, it's hard to remember skater names! Mine's Rose Redrum. Roller derby usually gets crowds very interested. We just had an expo last night to get our local fans interested and had a pretty good turn out for the mini-bout. Our first home bout is next month so I hope we get a lot of people in the door.
Stepmom totally counts, Erin. Go Dan!
So we did family manicures. Franny chose a beautiful NfuOh flaky, Isaac chose two colors, one for each hand--Wildlife and a, uh, I can't remember what it's called, blue holo. I went with Peacock Feathers. Fun!
But why oh why haven't my Zoya polishes arrived yet?
