Thanks, ladies. Living in LA can be really bad for one's self-image. I'm downright chunky next to most of the women I see in and around my workplace (and though I've gained some weight, I do know in the rational part of my brain that I'm not overweight in any meaningful way). I think Barb nailed it--I've been feeling so sick and miserable and haven't been able to exercise, which I really want to start doing again. All that combined is making BID's come out of the closet.

In unrelated news, I have been fighting my mess of a yard this year -- although I'm afraid my efforts come to naught compared to the mighty msbelle -- and here's a blog post with pics of some of the stuff I've done so far.
