Woot Val!
Surgery went well! Am home and this second day so far has been waaayyyy less painful than 2nd day of knee after the knee surgery. Being mobile helps enormously. My circle of friends dealt with a logistical nightmare (because I woke up from the anesthesia much later than expected, and in sone pain, so I got released a few hours later than expected). But hilariously they all figured out through Facebook messaging, etc, coordination of my pick up and home care. Charlie stayed with me all afternoon and evening and I made it through the night easy peasy. I even got to keep one of the Wiggles, which helps enormously.
I'm glad to hear Drew's mom is going to be home soon. Now Pix, please feel better soon!
Heading to twitter to RT Sassy info.
Since I have no useful suggestions for you, my dear vw, I will just sit here gleefully chortling at your predicament.
Count me in on the chortlers. And, woo! Have fun, girl!
javachik, I'm glad to hear that you are recovering so well.
Thanks, javachik.
Really, I cannot tell you all how much it means to see the info reposted/retweeted. The information coming through my inbox/phone and f2f conversations for the past month has been really difficult to handle - lots of things I wish I didn't have to know, like how long shelters hold dogs, and worse things that you don't want to know.
I sent it to a friend of mine in DC who Tweeted it. Hope it reaches all her local friends!
Sparky, I don't know which of my feeds you are connected to, but the Sass requests have been going out regularly on both my BK-T and doggy lama facebook and twitter feeds. It has been rippled out from there as well.
I posted on fb yesterday, sparky, and I know at least a couple of my local friends reposted. Including my friend whose elderly beagle just passed away a couple of months ago. He was especially affected by your story.
I got some high profile friends to RT Sassy's info and vid and according to twitter, my tweet has been RT'ed 132 times in the last 25 minutes. God I hope it helps get the little pumpkin back home.
