That's disturbing. You're emotionally scarred and will end up badly.

Art Crawl!!!

Man, I had a headache and nausea most of yesterday and it's gone now and I feel so good that I forgot how crappy I felt yesterday.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm glad you are feeling better, sumi.

Thrive to spite them

Glad you are feeling better.

I finally ordered some of the Dover coloring books I thought they'd be a nice stress reliever.

I wish I had them now to distract me. I waited until yesterday when I was out of meds to get my prescription refilled.

Only there's an issue with the COBRA, partly my fault, but the company that handles says I have coverage, but I didn't make my payment. Which I didn't in all the stress and getting things done here. I thought I could pay over the phone - you can't. My HMO, however, does not show that I've elected for COBRA coverage AT ALL. They won't contact the company that handles that stuff, they'll only talk to my employer.

So now I have to scan and email stuff back to them and hope this can get straightened out so I can get meds on in five days. The pharamcist let me buy a three day supply and I cut my tablets in half so I have Seroquel for 5 days and then I'm looking at paying out of pocket if I can't get the insurance to cover it.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wallybee and I attended Toastmasters tonight. Wallybee gave a speech, her first since Ryan was born. She was awarded best speaker for the night! Not bad given English is her second language.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Go Wallybee!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Wallybee!

I finally slept but kept waking up from anxiety dreams. I feel more like I ran all night than slept. IOW, gronk.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congrats, Wallybee!

Vampires with castle wallpaper

They were all gorgeous, but this one is my favorite.

Thankee!

At any other time in my life, seeing the level of detail required in that one, I'd probably shy away. These days, I can't wait to dive into it.

Nice touch with the hair.

The Dover vampires book is All. About. The. Hair. Lots and lots of flowing hair. It's really challenging me to work on the blending and texture techniques.

I went blonde with this one...I also like the stonework.

I will say this about the Dover books. I prefer scanning the images and coloring them on printer paper, rather than doing the work in the book. The paper is not great (pocked and, with too high a 'bite') and the lines smudge way too easily. If I press hard at all, the next two pages suffer transfer marks.

Plus, if you make a mistake...which is how wallpaper vamp ended up in a black shirt...you are stuck.

Though, weirdly enough, once I get started on a piece, I can't seem to abandon it. In fact, I've rescued every single one of my mistakes rather than just start over again. Commitment issues? Not me.
