I have acquired a neti pot. Yes, it's come to this. Also over the counter claritin and a jackhammer.
Dare I hope the jackhammer is for some random masonry work you need to do, and not your nose?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

sadly, it has decided to go for my eyes this time - like, behind them. OMGcrazymaking. also, ow.
Oh, Sox, you have my sympathy.
Ouch, Sox. Sympathy. I am suffering the allergies already too, with much nose problem.
The Girl got me a hamster. Adopted from a shelter that works with a local petshop to find homes for small abandoned/unwanted animals. TG wandered in there to see if they had a particular colour of aquatic sand that she wants for the table centrepieces* and came out with a Roborovski hamster. She is called Maisie and looks a bit like this [link] i.e. mega-small. She's been running incredibly fast in her wheel for the past four hours. She seems less nervous than Hamish ever did, which is grand.
*DON'T ASK.
Aw, what a sweet Girl you have, Seska! Welcome to the family, Maisie.
It's been an absolutely glorious day here, today, so we went out for breakfast then afterwards, Nate & Lewis went and ran errands, while I threw open windows and cleaned.
I'm still the world's worst housekeeper, but at least the public parts of the house and my room are nice and fresh. Now I'm going to reward myself with a long bath with a Lush bath bomb.

Ooh, that sounds lovely. Enjoy!
I fully intended to Accomplish Many Things today, but after I obtained the fabled HDMI cable that made my TV work as it's supposed to, I fell into an episode of Sherlock and somehow lost three hours to a 90-minute show. And now that, and the immense effort of a quick shopping trip, writing a couple checks, doing some PT exercises, and consuming crackers-and-cheese for lunch has left me unaccountably tired. Clearly I am not over the lingering effects of the bronchitis. I get them very much less often than I did when I was a kid, but when I do get one, a respiratory infection will grab hold of my lungs and want to never leave me. A responsible adult like me can't go to bed at 6pm, though. Maybe I'll fold some laundry.
Thanks to all for the Azo rec (and warnings. wow, that was like eating beets for the first time). I managed to sleep through the night without having to get up to pee every half hour and now, almost 20 hrs since that dose, all my symptoms are gone *fingers crossed that all the water and cranberry concentrate chased away the evil bacterium*
And Zenkitty, yr still recoverying - take all the sleep you can, whenever possible. Laundry folding can happen next time a good show is on.
