Good luck, Hil!
On a related note - something about that place felt creepy and familiar, and I finally figured it out. Remember the creepy warren in Watership Down? Where everything was great on the surface, but poison underneath? Yeah, just like that.
Bleurgh! Don't ask where anyone is.
Received, -t. Thank you. My parents would keep Frankie as long as I will let them, it's actually the cats who are more of an issue. Ideally I will find somewhere to live that I can bring all three.
Seska, I think we've had this convo before. I like to think of DBT as some basic concepts, the most basic being mindfulness, and a wide array of strategies from which one can pick and choose the ones that work for one. You mentioned NLP; I like DBT because it takes a very gentle, gradual, and non-judgmental approach to learning to think differently.

Don't ask where anyone is.
No, really! Just like that. People would disappear without warning - fired, laid off, who knows.
FWIW, I had multiple cats the whole time I was in NO and never had any issues with pet excluding leases. M also fosters and boards cats.
Good to know, -t. I probably can't afford a place on my own right off, so it may be more of a roommate issue.
askye, that sounds extremely frustrating, but you are in VT! And...this is an adventure? Make margaritas and pretend you're camping?
smonster, we'll find you a place, no worries.
Yeah, I had roommates for the first couple of years. It'll depend on the roommates, of course, but pet-friendly living arrangements in NO are not so scarce as some places.
Seska, I think we've had this convo before.
It is quite likely. My memory isn't the best. Sorry! Thanks for the ideas.
My memory isn't the best.
Nor mine! No need to apologize! Anyway, if you're ever curious, just send me an email.
