Oh Plei, you will love having a greyhound. They are the best! We had a racer-rescue one for 6 years (she'd been used for breeding too so we got her when she was 7), she was the calmest, sweetest dog EVER! At Christmas, my entire family would fight over who got to have Brady lay on their feet (she knew she was too big to be a lap dog, so she was a foot dog). The only drawback was she wasn't cat-safe so we couldn't have any cats. My husband has said that we will only ever have greyhounds (cat safe ones, 'cause we love our kittens too)
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Congrats on the new dog !!! I don't know much about greyhounds but I've heard they are awesome laid back easy going dogs.
Steph! Can you answer a question about the Tessalon Perls? They work great, but they only work for about three hours. The instructions/info sheet say "don't take more than 200mg at a time" (the pills are 100mg), and "3 times a day prn" (which I would assume to be about every six hours) but it doesn't say explicitly how long I should wait between doses. Can I take one every three hours? Then should I not take more than three a day, and switch to another cough medicine when the third one "runs out"?
Hmmm. Right now, are you taking 2 at a time, or 1?

Just one.
Barb, another vote on that competition dress. VavavavavaVOOOM. I would wear that everywhere if i had the back to pull it off. And if i could wear orange and gold without looking like a reanimated corpse.

Try taking 2 at a time, and see how long the effect lasts. Since it says "don't take more than 200 mg at a time," and each pill is only 100 mg, then take 2. Sometimes you need to take the maximum prescribed.

I love orange and it's a "sunny" color I can actually wear unlike, say yellow, which turns me into a reanimated corpse. What I like about it, too, is that for the RITAs, so many people fall back on wearing traditional shades, that a color like orange really stands out.
I figure if I ever wear black to the RITAs, it's going to have to be a hellacious dress in terms of design and detail so that it stands out from the pack. I'll get Jilli to dress me!

And I would point you at my girl Kambriel, who is so amazingly talented that I sometimes just boggle that she's my friend.
The greyhounds I've met have been delightful dogs. Sweet, gentle, and generally quiet. They can have a strong prey drive, though, so they aren't always good with cats and other smaller pets.
Ah, that reminds me, I have pictures now from the dress-as-a-goth birthday party. I'll have to get one up on Flickr for show and tell, although by the time we started taking pictures, I had already taken my corset off because I ated too much cake. Tim's outfit is totally worth seeing, though.
