You know, I just... I woke up, and I looked in the mirror, and I thought, hey, what's with all the sin? I need to change. I'm... I'm dirty. I'm, I'm bad with the... sex and the envy and that, that loud music us kids listen to nowadays.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And, there go the tornado sirens. Crap. And what the hell am I supposed to do about the cookies I put in the oven two minutes ago?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Anne, flip on the TV/radio/interwebs to see how severe the weather is and what the path is, and how long before it gets to you. That way you can calculate if you have enough time to leave the cookies in the oven.

Also, be safe.

Also, NO THANKS for sending that stuff east. It's my understanding that SW Ohio is going to get a wrath-of-god style storm after 11 pm.

At this rate, it looks like the bad stuff is going to skirt just east of me. I've got the TV on, and things look NASTY. The temp has dropped 30 degrees in the past hour.

Teppy, I hope the storm loses a lot of its oomph before it gets to you.

The cookies are safe, and so am I. The cat is no longer freaking out, and has emerged from behind the electronics in the entertainment cupboard (he feels compelled to hide among the wiring during electrical storms) and is demanding pettins. He's a fairly decent barometer, all told.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

smonster, I hope this turn of events leads you to exactly what you want.

So far they're still predicting wrath of god. We're putting fresh batteries in the weather radio and looking for the headlamps/flashlights.

I hope the storm is all show and no trauma in your area, Steph.

Fred Pete, much ~ma to you, Hubs and Victor.

Zenkitty, I hope the scary symptoms go away, and that you stay safe and healthy.

Teppy, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

smonster, when I got laid off from my job in Baltimore, it lit the fire under me that got me moving back to St. Louis, which ended up being the best thing I could have done. I hope this works out just as well for you and that things can be as stress-free as possible in the meantime.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

If any of the ladies here take yaz or the generic equivalent and would like 4 months (unopened) of the generic, lemme know.

erin_o, is the generic called Ocella? If so, I can take it off your hands.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So much ~ma for Drew's mom.

And I hope you are able to escape from the parking lot, Hil.

Zen, some get-better/be-ok~ma for you.

smonster, I am very glad that some options are opening up for you. May you look back at this time as one of those moments when you feel like you are free-falling, but it turns out your wings were just drying off and suddenly you are flying.

Please send lots of calm-the-cough~ma for M., one of the ladies I was working with today. She's in her upper 60s, has been really not herself lately, and she has a nasty cough that just does not stop. She saw the doctor today, and the verdict is "just a cold, so keep using the Robitussin" but the Robitussin is no longer helping her. Her doc is pretty decent, so I am willing to believe it is just a miserable cough. But I know how I feel when I'm coughing like that... and I hate that she has to feel that way, so badly that I bawled my eyes out. At work. (I usually hold it together until I get home). Thankfully, it was only my coworker who saw me crying like that, and not one of the residents.
