{{{smonster}}} I agree with everyone else that this is the Universe's push towards the Big Easy.
{{FredPete}} All kinds of ~ma for you and hubs and Victor.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{FredPete}} So sorry.

Seska, you'll be pleased to know that I'm having a nice cuppa of Welsh tea.
Welsh tea is nearly as good as Yorkshire tea. I hope it's helping.
{{{smonster}}} I'm sorry. I know how hard you have worked in that job. Tons of New Orleans style job~ma for you.
{{{FredPete}}} You're not doing anything wrong. I'm so sorry.
Funnily enough, I just talked to a friend in the NOLA office, and none of them got laid off b/c they're crazy busy. And when he told the boss down there that I'd been laid off, his reply was that it was a shame because he liked me and they need someone to start up their trainee program. But honestly, I might be well shut of the shadiness and toxicity. Also, the CEO is currently on vacation. NICE.

Now, that's class.
smonster, hon, a big hug to ya, first off. Total sympathy for how, even when you want to leave like the place gives you a rash, having the hammer fall is shocking and painful. Though, I too want to thing the Universe is telling you something good here.
If the boss in NOLA could provide you with a bridge until you settle in there, I say take it. You will do good for them, even if the only good they do for you is a paycheck.
Fredpete, I'm so, so sorry for the sadness and stress in your life. May the very best solution and comforts come to Victor as quickly as possible.
Also, the CEO is currently on vacation. NICE.
Dude. Fabulous sign of total organizational gutlessness right there.
smonster, I'm sorry, but it's clear it's not you, it's them, and you're supposed to go to NOLA now. CLEARLY.
Fredpete, I am sorry. You are the best kitty daddy I know.
I didn't even get to say goodbye to my supervisor, as he was in a meeting with his boss. Hopefully not getting laid off. I really liked him, even if we didn't have much day-to-day contact.
Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to contact the boss down there and let him know I might be interested. I just don't want to be employed by them when they go bankrupt, if that happens - would I be eligible for unemployment, then?
I'm already calling/emailing my network, and already have a job to apply for! I'm looking at Americorps stuff, too.
smonster, I'm so sorry! Suck0rama.
FredPete, much -ma to your kitty and you all.
ok, back to school.
