But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

I SO need that tshirt to wear to school on casual Fridays. My sis has it, and wore it to work at the bookstore a lot.

I have that shirt and almost always wear it on the Sunday of writers' conferences, which tend to be the most casual days. I've been told it's mean. I've responded "Have you met me?"

Guys are confusing. I've been emailing a guy on eHarmony, and we seemed to really connect. Then he suggested meeting in person, and I said that I wasn't going to be free either of the next two weekends, but that we could talk on the phone and then meet later. I gave him my number. He said great. He said he'd call me early in the week. I said I looked forward to hearing from him. And now it's Thursday, and he hasn't called. I do not understand.

Punishingly Intricate

Many people have phone fear.

I really want Bob to get home. His plane has landed and everything. But I kind of hope I can finish this episode of ANTM before he gets here! The Traveling Husband Conundrum!

Hil, phone fear can be HUGE. No visual cues, no chance to edit your words, no chance to go to the bathroom and get a breath. Just talking.

Email is much easier. Has he emailed? You might want to email hi, if he hasn't and just be all "Ugh, my work week, or ooh, this show blah blah light chatter. Love to chat with you on the phone before we meet; I know some people hate talking on the phone -- you? I'd just like to maybe talk about places me might to, get a voice to go with your voice, just a quick convo" or something like that, maybe.

That shirt isn't mean, Barb! It's TRUE!

Cordelia: Tact is only not saying true stuff. I'll pass.

I have major phone fear. I only suggested phone because he suggested meeting in person and I knew that that would have to wait two weeks. (Which I just now realized is three weeks, since I forgot about Easter.) If he doesn't call tonight, I'll email him again tomorrow.

Oh, please. Unless you were wearing at a conference where you knew Meyers would actually be...

And since were sort of speaking of clothes, 6 weeks into PT, and mine are fitting a little looser! I haven't really lost any weight according the the scale, but there is a noticeable difference in the way things are fitting. My PT said it's probably muscle gain and fat loss which would explain the scale not moving.

I just signed up for a professional development workshop about creating applets to illustrate math concepts and how to integrate stuff like that into a course. I feel all grown up and responsible. Also, excited about getting to play with pictures and animations.

Our wings are not tired

I'm looking at my calendar for the end of April, all of May, and part of June and wondering how I'm going to do it all.

That is my usual method for making it through the crazy times.
