Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hee, Laga, I keep them in my closet and drawers, too! Glad you like it!

(I took a chance with the shirt -- they run a little small, but I figured if it's too big, you can wear it on weekends or to bed or something! I hope it's up your geeky alley.

The scrub is made with brown sugar, cocoa, olive oil, sweet almond oil, and cinnamon. I didn't know about any skin sensitivities, but you can always pedi with it! It's homemade by me, and should be good for about three-four months, maybe more if you keep it tightly sealed. And You can reuse the mason jar for drinking, vases, windproof outdoor pillar candle holders, storage...

YAY! I'm glad you got it! I was worried it would take a couple of weeks or something! -four

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

We've got some work to do now.

I think it's just the right size.

The last thing I found was a tiny red button that says "I am loved". I'm wearing it right now.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Thinking of buying this: [link]

Much better than a plague of locusts!

That Erin, she just pushes people's buttons. snirk. Also, anyone else think that Natalie Morales of The Middleman could play that version of Velma?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

(and seriously -- whoever got that story placed has some reach. I haven't seen the Maxwell House Haggadah get that much press in, well, evar.)

I vaguely recall some news stories about the Maxwell House Haggadah maybe two or three years ago, but I can't remember what it was about.

Incidentally, the guy who did the new translation is a friend of my father's from college. He hasn't talked to this guy in probably 40 years, but he recognized the name in the articles and checked and it is the same person.

The language in the new Maxwell House Haggaddah, aside from the really awkward parts, is actually really traditional. The gender-neutral language for G-d is standard in most Reform and Conservative synagogues now, and has been for years. Most of the other changes were removing the "thee" and "thou" stuff, which I always thought sounded silly anyway. Why were we trying to sound like the King James Bible, when that's a Christian book? There's nothing that makes "thou goest" more traditionally Jewish than "you go."

Does the Maxwell House Haggaddah have "Go Down, Moses"? A lot of American ones add that into the song section.

Oh! I forgot to say Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! I love my box of prezzies and I'm just waiting to take my turn in the gaming thread so I can go have a bath.

You are most welcome, sweetie. SO glad you like!

I have to admit, I bought myself that t-shirt at the same time -- I went as that Velma for Halloween this year.

This article talks about a website that lets you create your own Haggaddah, from a bunch of different sources. I first saw a site like that several years ago, but this one looks like it puts everything together a lot better. [link]
