[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Heh. I'm clearly with Barb, though I did quite like Friday's 60 degree and sunny weather.

she's going back to a literal shed on her mom's land, which would be fine if her mom weren't the non-fun kind of craxy

...whoah. Even if her mom weren't crxy, a literal shed sounds a bit much--is she broke, or trying to take care of mom, or what??

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Erin! Thank you so much for the goodies!

Oh, good! I'm such a slacker; I've been trying to send that since February. Just tiny things I hoped would lift your spirits a bit.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

You should do that here in New Orleans. I'm just sayin'!

Gurl. Don't I know it. I'm starting to contemplate making the jump without a job, scary as that is. Does K need a roomie? With a very cute dog?

is she broke, or trying to take care of mom, or what??

Broke. It really sucks - we loved living together, and she really doesn't want to go back there, but she's putting herself through college.

I've finally recreated my favorite drunk food from a restaurant that sadly no longer exists - BLT on a pita with tzatziki sauce instead of mayo. Pretty good with a rose.

I should probably *not* be watching the end of Moulin Rouge right now.

Hee! Well, that's the beauty as I see it-- we get those days more and more as we head into spring/summer and we really appreciate them. And can, yanno, go outdoors.

Thrive to spite them

I am slightly sunburned and very tired from a nice weekend at the beach with my whole family - Dad, Mom, Bro and Big E the world's greatest nephew. And Emma the Dog Who Runs Away.

Or not so much runs away as Follows People Down the Beach and Won't Come When Called. Now we should have had her on a leash, but she usually stays around, and the beach is...hard to describe. Not technically private but all the property is privately owned and no condos or anything (at least not until a couple of miles down) so it's very neighborhood-y feeling.

Emma ran. We called. She ran. Mom and I ended up walking over a mile to get her and then a mile back. Yesterday.

Then today there was a mix up and she got out and ran again. Just exploring, following interesting people. But it was only like 1/2 mile total round trip.

But the most fun was with my Big E. Who warmed up to me much quicker and today he and I played on the beach and in the water. And at one point he had the optioin "Go with Daddy or go with Lala". "Lala and Boy go this way." (He calls him self Boy sometimes).

Anyway it was awesome and in a way I'm sad about leaving and moving so far away. But on the other hand I'm ready to go.

I'm moving a week from Tuesday. Actually I'll go up to Charleston and hang out with Mom and Bro (E will be with his Mom) and then that weekend Mom and I will drive up to Vermont.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Lala and Boy? OMG how adorable!!!!!eleventy!!

(It tickles me pink when some of the folks at work who have trouble pronouncing my full name go with "Anna".)

I am eating my first mug cake.

I doubt it is my last.

Damn you people. Damn you to hell.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm eating broccoli slaw in prep for a cleansing fast. But I do have the recipe for mug cake bookmarked.

He's getting good at pronouncing Evander but it comes out more "Evaner".

He was sooo cute yesterday. Dad's built a shed type thing on the back of the house, and there's access under the beach house (it's a modular home). So Dad was showing it to Grandma and Aunt J -- since it's almost finished. and E wanted to go down there.

So we did and he got so excited. Evidently he's really into hiding right now. So he went inside "Evaner is higing". (hard g instead of the d).

And then he said "Baba come inside. Lala come inside. J come inside Grandma come inside. Evaner inside"

So we all went and he looked around and starting laughing and shaking his arms (which means he's really really happy) "We are HIGING!!! We are HIGING! Lala is higing, Baba is higing, J is higing Grandma is higing Evaner is higing. We are higing!"

It was so cute! And he would do something and want everyone to do the same thing.

Of course there was still plenty of "No Lala come in! No Lala say 'you okay kiddo'". He'll tell you "No Lala/Nina/Daddy say" and then repeat whatever he didn't want to hear. "No Daddy say quiet time!"

And its frikkin' huge.

I need a life partner with whom to share them.
