I know I've seen them at Whole Foods, too.
FredPete, I hope today treats you as gently as possible.
Bonny! One, I owe you email. Two, one of my dreams last night was about sitting at a coffee shop with you, both of us coloring away in our coloring books. (Yes, I bought the vampires coloring book. I kinda had to.)
Well, being in DC (although not a government employee or contractor, so we got a message this afternoon that regardless of what happens, Monday IS a work day), I've been following the budget "talks".
Reading and hearing the budget proposals the Republicans are coming up with, especially Ryan's, I keep hearing the voice of Ebenezer Scrooge, "let them die and reduce the surplus population."
I keep hearing the voice of Ebenezer Scrooge, "let them die and reduce the surplus population."
Sometimes I even hear echoes of fattening Irish babies for English tables.
Kitty~ma to all who need it.
While I do appreciate Ryan addressing the problem of entitlement reform, I don't think much of his proposals. Instead of answering the question of "How do we provide healthcare at a lower cost?", he seems to more interested in "How do we provide less healthcare while pretending we aren't and insuring profits for health insurance companies?"
And also, "how can we kick more puppies?" But that might just be implied.
So true, Gud. And brenda.
I thought it was more "How can we enact vengeance upon those who were foolish enough to be born as anything other than wealthy, white, heterosexual, cisgender, non-immigrant Christian men?"
Relatedly, every time I see Boehner's fake-tan face, I throw up in my mouth a little. I apologize on behalf of Ohio for that assclown.
Also: If Obama blinks first and agrees to cut funding to Planned Parenthood, I think I will actually vomit.
I don't think he *will,* but not because he's such a big defender of women's health; I think he knows that backing down on this would make it virtually impossible to be re-elected. I truly believe that's the only reason he hasn't already pushed Congressional dems to accept a compromise that cuts PP funding.
And wow, is that cold comfort. Actually, it's no comfort at all.
