Diana Gabaldon, The Exile
I just read about this one yesterday. Let me know what you think of it.
My image of the Frazer family is so embroidered by Davina Porter's voice reading the characters, I'm afraid visuals would ruin it.
Mal ,'Ariel'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I expect it is a mistake, but I am rewatching Band of Brothers. Such an amazing cast. Such good television, even though I find WWII stuff more painful than most war movie stuff.
Although, the casting of David Schwimmer nearly ruined it for me. Nothing against him as a person/actor but he just did not belong in such a crucial role.
I'm currently playing, 'Hey, it's that Brit.' And boggling over their skills with accents.
Uh, hell yes? I guess it depends on how cheap the dorms are.
$36 a night for a shared room, $72 for a single room.
Any chance you can vegan out on that one?
Hmm. I can look into that.
CDs purchased today and currently being ripped: True Blood soundtrack, vol 2; Rufus Wainwright, Milwaukee at Last; Blonde Redhead, Penny Sparkle; Rupa and the April Fishes, Extraordinary Rendition; Christina Aguilera, Bionic; Sia, We Are Born; Kylie, Aphrodite.
What do you think of Sia's album? I quite like the singles, though I think that's more the videos than the music (observation: Sia loves playing dress-up).
You guys are my social support, right?
Yes, of course, sweetie!
My cat Percy will chew on plastic until he gets bits off he can swallow.
I have one of those!
Scott Westerfield, Peeps
I really liked that one. Way more than I thought I would. I adore his Midnighters trilogy, and really like the Uglies/Pretties/Specials/Extras books.
Does anyone know offhand the right ratio of salt to water if you're making a salt water compress for a wound? Not, like, battlefield wound; more like small abrasion that's a little too red and angry and not-heal-y. Does 1/4 teaspoon in 8 oz. H2O sound right?

Meant to say YOU BET YOUR SWEET BIPPY.

Will do. From a quick look, Jamie's too pretty.

I thought I remembered you liking those.
ARGH. Current requirement for work is 7 visits/month (those are usually 1 day/visit, but might be more). However, the company we are merging with requires 10 days (not visits). Now, granted, the current structure preferences 1 day visits, and if you have a lot of multi-day ones, you're screwed. But still, 10 would be a big jump for most people. Someone asked if we'd be switching to that, and she was told "no, we'll keep ours, just like we'll keep our bonuses for extra visits/productivity". And I boggled--they took those AWAY last year (when we were all expecting them after first quarter) and said they were working on them and would roll out a new structure. WTF, that TOTALLY reassures me. NOT.
Also random: Steph, how long after you switched to a gluten-free diet did you feel like it was really a noticeable difference?
Steph! How was the dress-up-as-a-Goth party?
