One of our dogs has fairly short legs and a long nose which helps her be a master of the snatch-and-grab. On a walk, she can pick up food from the sidewalk without breaking stride at all. Once my DH was walking her and looked down to see she had an entire burrito in her mouth.
This is Ozymandias. I loathe bulk trash day when people just put everything on the curb.
Duct tape is failing miserably. I'm really hoping that the new braces fit ok when I get home and trying not to panic.
If it's on the ground, it belongs to the hound.
Seriously? If dogs could have tattoos, the Bman would have this inked inside a chicken bone. That's the way he rolls.

Bartleby has learned to be super sneaky like this. He'll surge ahead, grab whatever it is in his schnosicle and keep his head turned away so that I cannot see him chew.
Then there is the bread on one side of the park, poop on the other side of the park so that, as I'm cleaning up, he can dart across and hoover up everything.
That last one left me quite as impressed as I was frustrated. Way to go with the strategic thinking, little man.
And when there's a door closed between them they claw at the door or Dean meows
Dean! Sam! Dean!
t /...And Then There Were None
Oh, no, sj! I hope getting home is not too much hassle and the new braces fit.
Well, I'm sitting in the car now so hopefully no hassle between here and home. I'm more worried about PT and stuff this week with new braces.
I am happy to say that our two know to sit and stay while we clean up poop. We put leashes down and they wait while we clean up. It's the LEAST they can do, since we are, you know, cleaning up their poop.
Dean and Maddie get along really well, they sleep together and do groom each other. And when there's a door closed between them they claw at the door or Dean meows...well chirps. I don't know if they get car sick, it's only about a mile to the vet so they do okay that way.
Can they travel in the same crate? That might be comforting to them.
my cats find much comfort in each other. i've found that during short car rides if i put them in separate carries they yowl like it's the end of the world (even though each cat individually in the car is entirely silent, they feed off each other's misery) but if i put them together in a larger carrier they STFU. Worth a try.
eta: i've only driven cross country with one, so i don't know if the shared space comfort effect would hold true for days as it does for 30 min trips.
Trudy = I'm trying to get a crate big enough for them to be together.
They are pretty mellow cats. Let me rephrase that....they aren't very neurotic cats. Dean's energy level has been through the roof lately and he's taken to playing with his favorite paper ball at night. I've had to confiscate it twice to get some sleep.
Plus they are fairly quiet. Dean has been chirpping more lately but not a real meow. Maddie will occasionally murff ( a kind of purry chirppy sound). I don't think I've ever heard a real meow come out of her mouth. Even when she's stuck on the wrong side of the door. She just claws at it.
