Trudy, thanks for your thoughts about wiring...lj is being strange here today or I'd leave that there.
I'm just glad my sick, sad, HGTV obsession can be of some use to the world.
Sorry for the big ol' emo dump; I just need to say something and there's no one to talk to.
Oh zen
::snuggles zen::
Today, I get an email that basically says, "I expect a financial report for this year AND last year by Sunday evening since you are off on Spring Break this week."
Jesus. You don't get to speak to me like that unless you're paying me at least 50k with full benefits.
Which I would probably write back to the guy. Something along the lines of:
"You don't get to speak to me like that unless you're paying me at least 50k with full benefits. The financial report isn't due to the GS Council unil June. After that it will be available to the parents."
Were you even a leader last year?
Thanks, all, stealing from girl scouts is about the worst thing you can accuse someone of.
Maybe it's
1. Pervert
2. terrorist
3. steals money from little kids
And the weird thing is, nobody's more shocked than that guy when he gets the "Fuck off," response he so richly deserves.
Connie, are you an Architecture geek like me?
Oh, lord, yes, I've got dozens of books on architecture, especially historic domestic architecture, because I'm fascinated by the way people lived their lives in these spaces. I love Wright's designs, but there's not a lot of room for people in his houses. It's my biggest problem with appreciating modern architecture, because to me a house is foremost a place to live, not a design project. I look at some of the Van Der Rohe and Le Corbusier places and can appreciate the art, but I couldn't be comfortable in them.
Or, in shorter terms, yes.
quester, that's frustrating--you know they're paying the temp company more than you're receiving an hour! Though generally they have to then pay the temp company something if they want to hire you on separately, you'd still think they could work out something better $/hour wise.
Aims, I am angry and skeeved out on your behalf.
smonster, I think a jazz funeral for your not-really-a-relationship is a GREAT idea.
bonny, I did not know about the vampire coloring book! Oh dear, I think I need that. Because I do like coloring books. You might want to look at the Romanti-Goth Coloring Book, because it's a lot of fun.
Was everyone aware of this: [link]
Romanti-Goth Coloring Book, because it's a lot of fun.
Ooooh. A definite possibility. And, how much do I love that your book was first in line in the 'You might also enjoy' list? A lot.
I like coloring too!
Aw, Zen. I'm totally with you on the coloring, the stress and the weight. A big hug to ya (if appropriate).
I am waffling up and down with the same 10 lbs that are 15 pounds above my right weight. Gack.
I'm hoping the meditative power of the coloring will help me to balance out.
On the marker front, I dug through my pen drawer and did the skritch/toss test with my existing markers. (I have an irrational agitation with pens that don't work, so a couple of times a year, I go through my entire collection and toss the rejects.)
The result is that I've decided not to color with markers at this point. Not enough control or ability to blend. That is probably my skill level, but I'm going to stick with the pencils for the intricate stuff and the crayons for the rudimentary drawings.
Nice to have that research question to remove from my procrastination bag!
and smonster, i would so be in on a relationship wake. that's one of the best ideas i ever heard. party on.
