Sometimes i just have to relegate myself to paying "rental fees" to the library. I hate returning books late, but sometimes when you have a 31-disc audio book and there are holds and you can't renew it....yeah, i do my part too ;)
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I went to the beach for a few hours today. Then went and visted my grandmother and aunt.
Congrats Hil!!
I need to go to the library and return stuff AND also dump off a bunch of books I don't want any more.
I also realized that I'd been thinking in terms of getting to St Albans as going to Charleston and then it taking 2 days from there. Which it can, but it's a 10 hour drive and then a 9 hour. I'm not sure how the cats will do. And if Mom is going to go with me we'll probably need to break it up to three days. I still need to pack more. At least I decided I'm not taking a couch up at this time, just 2 recliners, one I'm getting from my aunt and she doesn't want it back.
I wanted to work more, but I've run out of energy. So I'm watching tv and folding clothes.
Hil, are you looking to fly or drive?
Hil, are you looking to fly or drive?
I don't know. Right now, I'm vaguely thinking Spain, but there are plenty of places in the US that I've never seen.
I also want to take some sign language courses at Gallaudet this summer, and I'm not sure what else, so I need to figure out how scheduling will work out. Also need to think about if I want to go alone or with friends or with my sister or what.
I'm not sure how the cats will do.
They'll survive. If either has shown any signs of motion sickness - talk to the vet. about meds for that (a bonus is that drowsiness is often a side effect). If you wish to think about sedatives for them, be sure to do a trial dose ahead of time, because some cats do have a paradoxical reaction to sedatives, and freak out. If they are good friends (I know they are siblings, but do they still sleep and play and groom each other?) then consider getting a big, German Shepherd sized carrier - it will have room for both cats plus a litter box. But also have a smaller carrier available in case they need to have some alone time. Rescue Remedy sprinkled in their food did wonders for Harvey and Sammie - but you can also dab some in the fur on the back of their necks if you want to try it. When getting in and out of the vehicle, make sure they are secured in their carrier. Whatever advantage there might be in putting them on harness and leads and letting them stretch their legs at rest stops - don't. Just don't. Almost lost Sammie that way. Keep 'em safe, and they will adjust and forgive you when you get settled in at the new place.
Definitely don't leave the cats out in the car while driving--wasn't it Emily who was going cross-country and the cat ran under the gas pedal?
Hil, you could always just go to the Eastern Shore, from DC, if you're at Gallaudet.
Barcelona, Cote d'Azur, Costa Rica, NC... Lots of good beachy options.
Just sent B a message telling him I need to take a break from contact to get over him. Pretty sure he'll understand. Need to set a date for myself at least a month out to revisit the decision and see if I need longer.
And with that, it's time for bed. Night, Bitches.
{{{{{smonster}}}}}
I have nothing, NOTHING, but Deadwood-talk-style for having to be awake at this unspeakable hour. Be careful, all, and go to bed in time.
Read a bit behind, but not that much. so huge congrats! to Hil, {{{}}} to smonster and whoever else in need for them, and happy! (belated?) birthday to Scola.
"Walkies, Bourdieu!"
I laffed and laffed.
Hi, did I mention it was fucking morning, again? And that people expect me to actually be awake and do stuff? This is one unreasonable Earth.
