Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

'Bushwhacked'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad they found something fixable for your mom, Laura.

And yay for being in the home of your heart, smonster!

In a House rerun I saw yesterday, he turned his cane into a sword and a shotgun (dream sequence--House has gotten trippier since I stopped watching regularly). Betcha that would get you a seat on any public transportation you wanted, Trudy.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Anyone want to Wake Up With Stephen Fry? Andi? He did a special edition of QI for Comic Relief (a charity event that goes on over here that lots of comedians do fun things for). Russell Tovey and David Walliams also feature. The whole thing is on youtube: [link] (There are some fun special editions of other shows up there too. David Walliams was hosting a 24-hour run of panel shows on the net to raise money. Hence why it's a bit unedited-looking!)

Purim also includes lots of alcohol.

More 'hmph'. Silly of it to clash with Lent.

I want to learn that trick. Glad to hear you're recovering, Trudy!

Enjoy your break, smonster.

ETA: Really glad to hear everything's fixable with your mom, Laura.

Must get on with bloody literature review. If I don't finish this chapter today I might throw my laptop out the window. Which would be expensive.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Anyone want to Wake Up With Stephen Fry? Andi?

You know I am. I'm going to wait until Daniel gets up, though. It's long enough for us to want to watch together.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I've just finished watching all five parts. There's some fun stuff there, including a couple of shows with David Tennant in. David Walliams is a trooper for doing 24 hours of TV shows in a row. Mind you, not as good as DJ Chris Moyles, who did 52 hours of radio without a break. Which just seems like it should make a person hallucinate and/or fall over.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Cattle prod.

Cattle prod's great until you accidentally stick yourself in the foot with it. Are you up to wearing steel toes yet?

Say, sarameg, is MD Congresswomen Edwards your rep.? She's speaking about net neutrality at my conference breakfast I'm attending right now (she's pro), and seems pretty cool.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

More 'hmph'. Silly of it to clash with Lent.

heh. I don't think it was originally meant to serve the same audience.

Yay smonster in town!

Waiting to see if my houseguest wants to go pick up Central Grocery muffelettas before going to the beer festival or to the walk in clinic...

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oww. My ankle is killing me. Do not want.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

The David Walliams stuff is great. I've been watching stuff as it pops up on my internet haunts. He did one called, I think, Generation Gap, with his mother? TOO CUTE.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Ouchie, Hil. Wishing you less ankle pain. I can empathise - my joints do not want to stay put today. That socket is there for you for a *reason*, shoulder. Stay in it.

I don't think it was originally meant to serve the same audience.

Hmph. It's like how they purposefully make Hanukkah right near Christmas because they know my Girl will have to choose between celebrating the latter with me or going to Israel for the former, yes they do.

The Generation Game - a very popular show here in the 80s. I completely loved his mother's reaction to the pottery handle!
