[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Much easy recovery ~ma to Laura's mom.

At 89, everything is serious.

May it be less so than you fear!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Ma to Laura Ma.

Punishingly Intricate

I took the claritin Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

I took a claritin at noon and was pissed nothing had changed w/r/t my miserableness in an hour. But then I found out that you need to take it for a few days in a row so that it can get into your system before it really starts working.

Why didn't somebody tell me that a few days ago? Wah!

Whhaaaatttt?!

Nobody said anything about a loading dose!

Oh lord. What does that mean? Should I go back to square one?

I won't do me any good for tomorrow...and it's going to rain tonight. Will the rain help with the symptoms if my allergy is tree pollen?

Crap. I hate not knowing what to do.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Sometimes it does for me. I can't promise relief, but the rain does seem to keep the pollen from floating hither and yon.

I have to switch back and forth between claritin and zyrtec every 6 months or so, because it seems like they just stop working at a certain point. And when I switch, it only takes about 24 hours before I notice relief. So you could take Zyrtec tonight and tomorrow and see how it goes.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

For me, I need a day or so for Zyrtec to kick in, but when it does, it is joy. Allegra doesn't work for me.

Huh. Okay, I'll take the Zyrtec again.

It says one in 24 hours, so I can't try it again until the morning.

Blergh.

Just blergh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Zyrtec kicks in for me pretty quickly. Claritin never did shite, but then I never took it for days on the hopes of someday being able to breathe.

Allegra plus decongestant (Allegra+D or just taking it with a separate decon) causes me to collapse into a raging depression. I later found out from Dr. Internet that depression is an anecdotal side effect of Allegra+D. Just FYI; if you take it, be aware.

I'll hold off for a couple of days.

The loading dose, of course, makes sense. I just wanted relief a lot sooner than that.

While the Claritin did nothing at all, I can say that I have not felt like I'm gargling with glass on the Zyrtec. My throat still hurts, with occasional stabs, and I just feel awful in general, but it isn't as acute. Maybe that is all I can expect.

In other, I'll feel better soon, news...I 'started' 9 days late this month. Which is contributing to my overall ickyness.

I took a nap today that pushed me down so hard, it felt like narcotic sleep. Restful only in the 2x4 upside your head way.

Whiny. I feel whiny. I'll shut up now.
