Oh, no, oh, no! Spontaneous poetic exclamations. Lord, spare me college boys in love.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My crockpot is oval (most of them that I see are round), and that makes it so much easier to get the lasagna noodles to fit.

I really need to look through that Web site and try out some more of the recipes.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hope the Benedryl helps your burgeoning migraine, Teppy. And good luck to Tim's ex's son on his journey.

Seska, I hope you get the relaxation you need so you can be productive.

smonster, I hope your workday goes well, and that your travels are safe and fun.

Dear Students of Pix:

You know you want to meet for class at her house. You'd be able to play with Kaylee, and pet some of the feline companions as well. Plus a relaxed and happy teacher makes for a relaxed and happy classroom experience.

Lots of love, Me

Oh, my god. I think part of me didn't think it would happen, but ex's son and the dog left about 10 minutes ago. He and Tim talked for a while outside after the truck was all loaded up -- I went inside to give them privacy, after I said goodbye. Tim told me that ex's son said Tim is the closest thing he has to a dad. That meant a lot to Tim. He was a little teary-eyed after ex's son left, but he knows it's for the best.

The cats have come out of hiding and are smooshed up next to me.

I'm tempted to go power through a workout at the gym (it is indeed raining, so walking the dog probably won't happen) and THEN come home and nap. I feel like a workout will tire me out even more so that I'll be sure to nap hard.

(And cleaning the bathroom got upgraded from "in theory" to "you MUST clean the toilet before the Board of Health condemns this house.")

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Whoo-hoo!

“Not dead yet!”

Working from home ftw!
This is one reason I write.

Of course, the lack of a regular paycheck bites the big one. I need to come up with some damned high concept story that'll net a big deal and become a bestseller.

ETA: Yay, Teppy!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

SO glad the house guest is gone, Teppy! And I remember the benedryl advice, because you mentioned it here and I now take it along with my imitrex when I get a migraine and it does help.

OMG, you guys, the production of "Frankenstein" last night was AMAZING. The whole piece is the story of the monster himself, and it starts with almost 10 minutes of him onstage alone. It begins with his "birth," then struggling to gain control over his movements and then finally walking. Completely riveting and physical acting and Cumberbatch nailed it. Just transcendent.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Awesome, Teppy! (fingers crossed for no U-Haul breakdown, or if it does, it's closer to Texas than to Cincinnati.)

Yay smonster for coming to New Orleans tonight! Where are you staying? How long are you gonna be in town, again?

I am so so so burnt out on everything.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Glad your house is back down to the two of you, Teppy.

she always reminds me to take 2 Benadryl with my migraine drugs (if I'm not going to be driving anywhere). And, you know, it has worked, and I always forget to do it.

Benadryl is part of my ER cocktail (along with dilaudid, an anti-inflammatory, and an anti-nausea med). Doctors don't always get why it's there, and even though I know it works towards migraine mitigation, it turns out the preferred anti-nausea meds give me an anxiety attack without it, so I can usually point at that and get it put back in.
