Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Typo Boy is right. It's a So Cal thing. Nor Cal people make fun of us for it but they're under the illusion we care about that.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

If you are driving NORTH on the PCH, then the ocean is NOT to your right

I once read a published novel where the author went on and on repeatedly about watching the sun rise over the ocean while living in LA. I kept wanting to tell her "Move your main character to the east coast or change your heavy handed symbolism."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

~ma, bonny. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

Sean, I would love to hang out with you, and if you ever get the chance to come to MA, I would be happy to prove it.

(Spurred by something I saw on another board I hang out on.) Once more having an "I don't understand humans" moment. There are traits that friends & family over the years have told me they find annoying in me. Yet I can see those same traits exhibited by someone else, sometimes even worse than I've got them, and it's tolerated or even adored. I just don't get it.

Is there some sort of accreditation that says "This therapist is religion-neutral and won't automatically give you drugs"?

You might call the office and ask if the therapy is faith based, a good therapist would know what you were asking.

Dunno about the drugs part but you could try googling for LGBT friendly therapists in your area. Not likely to be Mormon affiliated. IJS.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Specifically that so many people have thoughts that they're just being tolerated.

I get these feelings too, but these days I just ignore them. I've learned from experience that that feeling is totally unreliable in picking out whether people like me or not.
