River: You gave up everything you had. Simon: [Chinese] Everything I have is right here.

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Criminals would quail and beg.

Hell, we'd have a clientele.

Our wings are not tired

Do they beg for the parent, or the asshook?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I think they beg for whatever you tell them to beg for.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

They're getting the asshook either way.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

They're getting the asshook either way.

This is exactly why I admire Zen.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Schools were an occupation in Jamaica, but it was all testing and, if you're my mother, schmoozing. But we took our shit so seriously that nationwide test results were published every year, and you damn well sat around and looked up the scores of every twelve year old you knew, and judged what school they got into.

Don't fuck around with a potential free and excellent education.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

~Ma to your FIL Barb. Glad he's alert, hope he makes a full recovery as quickly as can be expected.

Now tagless for your comfort.

A friend of mine has chosen this school for her year old son.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Barb, all possible strength and good wishes to your FIL. And to Lewis and you and your MIL and his medical team.

Fred, eesh. Is this a medical thing? (I mean, I can't think you just go around restraining 15 lb mini tigers just for fun, but some people juggle geese) If so, all good thoughts.

More good thoughts and wishes for bonny and Bartleby (who is always Bartlebus in my head. I may need a dog to name).

Sparky, that's fabulous news! Synchronus serendipity! And other good S-words. Success! Sweet!

Oh dear. There may have been a smidge too much sugar in that last double-caf latte. Wheeee!

I'm not onerousing today. No. Can't make--okay. Clearing out yahoo email. Why again do I need email from 2002?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Fred, eesh. Is this a medical thing?

Seamus has a touch of the conjunctivitis that's has been going around the house lately. We have to put medicine in his eye -- Interferon, which he absolutely hates, and Terramycin, which he's a little calmer about.

Not a big deal as long as we treat it.
