Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm a little concerned because the guy in the picture at the top of the page is not being very safe. But I still really want to go.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

OMG I've always* wanted to go to Mackinac Island! Go for ME!

*for values of "always" that equal "ever since I saw it on Dirty Jobs".

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

When I was around 13 I went to Mackinac Island with my parents for a Delta Kappa Gamma convention (teachers' honorary society--Mom was president of the state chapter for a while). We stayed at the Grand Hotel. It was lovely.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I never saw that one, but I've been to Mackinaw Island many, many times. Love the place beyond belief. I've got a cousin-in-law that was born on the island.

Laga, he wasn't mucking stalls, he was dealing with the food waste from the hotel. Can't remember exactly what, but there were seagulls. Mostly I was all "horses!" and "no cars!"

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I was about 8 years old when we had a family vacay in Michigan and Wisconsin, including taking the ferry over to Mackinaw Island for the day (horses! fudge! bikes! ferry!), touring the locks at Sault Sainte Marie, and spending a few days at Jellystone Park on the way home. Very fun!

not your mom's socks.

hee. Fug girls just asked if they could have HBC-from-the-oscars as their crazy rich aunt. I kind of concur.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

My roommate is employed!
That is great news! Give him a big congrats from me!

As sad as it would be to see you leave So-Cal, you should take the gig with the horses. You loved that job in Chicago. And it will be a nice change of pace. Doooo eeeeeet!
