Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Now I want a t-shirt with ADD emblazoned across the chest, in a lightning bolt.

There's this. Not quite the same, but funny nonetheless.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Damn, I think I need that shirt.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

And I just bought it! Awesome. Thanks, Steph!

Our wings are not tired.

There was a Cass here! And she didn't melt despite not running the A/C. She got a full dose of teenage boys too. And wasn't afraid!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So sleepy. Teaching the day after getting just four hours of sleep is not good. I'm uncertain whether I made any sense at all.

One of my students came up to me right before class started today and asked if she could take today's quiz on Friday, because she had an exam for another class later this afternoon and she was skipping my class so that she could study for it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It might help if you start laughing in their faces, Hil.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Ahahahahaha! Seriously.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm fascinated by the ADD/ADHD thing. More and more I suspect that I am ADD, though obviously never diagnosed. It would explain SO much. I need to do some reading.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

H is having a lot of difficulty since we're spending much more time together. He often worked two jobs, I did too, occasionally, and it wasn't hard for me to manage a facade of normalcy during the short time we spent together most of our married life. Since he retired and we spend nearly all our time together, I can't keep up the masking behavior, and he's been subjected to "the real me".

He's been so annoyed and irritated: "Why are you acting this way when you never--or rarely--did, up to now?" Or concerned and a little scared: "Are you losing your mind?"

We've had many talks about this, and he's really struggling to understand. In those moments of understanding he's shaken his head in dismayed sympathy--"I don't know how you live with all that going on in your head at the same time. It's a miracle you can talk and feed yourself."

And of course, some days he's right. I barely can.
