Mal: Okay. She won't be winning any beauty contests anytime soon. But she is solid. Ship like this, be with ya 'til the day you die. Zoe: 'Cause it's a deathtrap.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Thoughts for amyth and Maria.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Strength to amyth and Maria.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got very little sleep last night because I was hurting too much, and now I'm tired and grouchy and hungry, but I can't eat because I need to go for a fasting blood test, but right now, I'm still too tired to drive there.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, Hil. That makes for a crappy morning. I hope it gets better, and when you can have some breakfast that it is something yummy as well as functional.

When I do get breakfast, it'll probably be at the coffee shop on campus, so it'll be a latte and a bagel.

Compassionately intolerant

Speaking of crappy mornings...and by that, I mean literally...could I please get some quiet gut healing ~ma for my little guy?

He wasn't feeling well yesterday and I did not take my own advice by fasting him. So, the disquiet in his belly reached a crescendo in the middle of the night.

I awoke to the poor little dude trapped in his crate after having explosive diarrhea against the back wall and out the front door. God bless him, it seemed like he really tried to avoid getting it inside .

The weird thing is, he usually makes a little sound and we both rush down to the door in time. This time, I did not hear a thing.

Which meant I was up for 3 hours laundering, scrubbing, Nature's Miracling and fretting.

This morning, his temp and respiration are normal and, except for some random trembling, he seems to be okay. I gave him some homemade chicken broth to ensure hydration and checked with the vet to make sure the bay leaf wasn't a problem. (shouldn't be in a strained liquid)

I had him up in the bed with me for a few hours. He seemed to rest well and stayed warm. I, on the other hand, startled at his every move, so no sleep for me.

I have a client at 10, the attorney's office at 11 (I'm SO unhappy with him) and a brand new client at 4. Then, a tough client at 7.

Oy. Now I need to make it through this day without getting sick myself!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Aw, poor boo. I hope he feels better soon. And you too, of course.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I saw a Tom Scola doppleganger at a hotel in Florida this morning. If you secretly have a wife and three kids, they are adorable.

Florida just never turns down the sun does it? Going back to the west coast tomorrow (and home Friday evening) is going to be a shock. But it is beautiful here. DIfferent than I am used to, even for coast, but very pretty.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

We are legion.
