Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy Birthday Pix & Maria!!!

Today was thesis critique day. #2 of three for the quarter. Before the show, we went to Vegetarian Grill. Had a veggie cheeseburger. After the crit, we went to a Peruvian restaurant, and had a few fruity sangrias with dinner. Tomorrow the show closes, and we take apart the system and pack it away.

Does anyone have advice for moving across country? Especially trying to find a place to live before moving.
It helps to have some boots on the ground that can look at places for you, and act as a liaison with landlords. Figure out what is the best local paper/source for finding the good deals. Consider renting a place that is a bit sterile, and large development. They tend to be safer, although boring. But makes for a good spot to land until you can recon the area and learn the neighborhoods on your own.
It's-nothing~ma to Chikat and Chikat cat's.
Located-toe~ma to Hil.
And ION - yooooo. Yoooo. And slightly woooooowwwwww. Remember that course I'm somewhat TA'ing (minus grading)? Respectable Prof. asked me to enter the class tomorrow, introduce myself and the new system for 10 minutes and answering questions.
I'm supposed to be the audience, not the TA - TAs are MA students, not BA students! So all weird, excited, and wow.
clearly proof of the awesome brain power of Shir!
And I think it's time to admit that I'm bitter about Valentine's Day this year, unusually for me.
I find that I am more bitter about V day when I have a prospect that's not working out or an unrequited love/lust situation. As I have given up on the only prospect in eons, I am quite zen this year.
I'm watching a probably trashy French vampire flick in the hopes of improving my mood. If it fails, bedtime.
I'm just back from watching the eminently trashy, and highly entertaining Seed of Chucky in front of a full house at the Victoria Theatre, with the star and director taking a Q&A.
I think I am full of Vday vitriol this year because I let my housemates talk me into playing a bunch of Facebook games and they are all hearts and flowers and pink bunnies and bleah bleah bleah. I hope on the 15th they start trying to sell me shamrocks and leprechauns.
Much it's-nothing~ma for your kitty, ChiKat.
Ouchie at the toe, Hil. I hope it's relocated by now.
It's so cool that you get to be an undergrad TA, Shir! I hope it goes well for you.
Heh, thanks.
WRT Valentine's Day, I'm in the "cannot compute" corner. You can bring my chocolates everyday, babies.
Watching the professor of the class I'm TA'ing freaks out via email is probably more amusing than it should be.
